Table centre pieces, opinions please

bgirl81, 12 July, 2013 at 14:04 Posted on Planning 0 5

Hi, can I ask peoples opinions of my centre pieces?

I have bought so many bits and bobs to use I'm kind of a bit flummoxed!

It's an autumnal/Halloween theme so colours are black and orange with a hint of purple.

Our tables are just wooden, no table cloths and will be set out in long rows: medieval banquet style.

There will be skeleton leaves scattered along tables, in various colours (as in pic)

Then the centre pieces will be twigs in vases, then either side black pillar candles in slightly shorter vases (see quick pen sketch) and we are hoping to have mini pumpkins randomly on tables too.

I did buy wreaths to decorate to go around each vase but I don't know if I actually need them now?

Can people look at the pics and say which works better?

The orange ivy leaves and white garland are fake, but do they look bad?

I also have fairy lights to go on the twigs, but shall I not bother?

Was also thinking of getting real ivy, but wanted to keep the colours the same?

And I have dried flowers, pine cones, dried fruit etc too, but don't want to go ott! Lol

Any other ideas?

Again please no haters, you might not like the idea or theme, so if it's not advice I don't want to hear it, thanks

I have just knocked these up quick so they are a bit messy, it's just to get the idea.

I prefer the orange leaves and pumpkins to the white garland, as they add some nice colour. Similarly the dried berries. A few leaves and cones on the table, but I wouldn't go over the top with them.

Yeah the white was just to make it look vaguely weddingy, lol, but the only white thing will be my dress.
Just knocked this one up quick too, the orange roses are the same as in my bouquet, I would probably make it so they trail along the table more though....just so it spreads ou
t rather than is just in the middle of table

Love the orange leaves and mini pumpkins - they're so cute! The orange gives it a real zing of colour and I think that for an autumnal wedding the fairy lights would give it a nice cosy touch. I'm not sure that you need the wreaths around the bottom of the vases - it would hide the pumpkins and that would be a shame. I wouldn't bother with the real ivy either - I'd stick to the autumn colours with the black. I bet it will all look great!
