Have a practice and see what you like best, also depends on where you get your containers.

If you are stacking the fishbowls they need to be good quality thick ones as the cheap thin ones won't take the weight and you will have water everywhere.

Also consider when you will do them and where, can you do them at the venue or will they need to be transported? Cocktail glasses don't travel very easily when full.

There's mine if it helps for inspiration! Vases were £2 each large pompoms around £1 each small carnations around 30p each cream bear grass and pearls probably around 50p and the crystal flower spray was £2. So all in around £6 per display.

I am having blue flowerpots with the bridemaids bouquets in 3 out of the 5 and then 2 more posies in the remaining 2 on the guest tables, we are having a round top table and a different centrepiece with a hurricane vase with a candle and a wreath of flowers round the bottom. They are all silk flowers as i suffer awfully with hayfever.

They were a bargain weren't they! I have had to add an extra table since i bought them a while ago but luckily they still had a few white ones in stock this weekend when I went to look for one!

They are! Even though my wedding is ages off, they are just perfect for what I wanted, they are now bubble wrapped and boxed up in my loft!

Ours is a vintage theme and we are having a stack of old books tied together with ribbon to give some height, with jam jar candle holders on top with lace round them. Then the place names will be attached to a tea cup and saucer for each guest too.

You're all very creative, ladies! We're having plants in nice pots - but please bear in mind we haven't bought any yet so who knows what these "nice pots" will look like! We are thinking of having herb plants but not sure yet.

Possibly grouped with an orchid in a white pot (£5 from ASDA)...

and then these scattered about (a few £ for 1,000's on Ebay)...

With table names on postcards held in little round silver ball card holders (can't remember how much but available from Hobbycraft type places...)

    All quite cheap really...

Im thinking of having 3 candles a big one a middle size one and a small one on a mirror with rose petals scattered on the table. I'm worried incase this will look a bit bare in reality even though it looks nice in my head.
