Table centrepiece

FHB, 10 March, 2014 at 23:18 Posted on Planning 0 6

So we are having banquet tables at our meal. Mum and I decided to do a little practice run as I've just been picturing it in my head for the last 10 months since I made the jars and bought the flowers etc. so it will look similar to this...we improvised and used pink tissue paper as our runner but we have actually hired a much less vibrant pink organza runner for the jars to sit on. The stems of the flowers will be cut much shorter so the flowers sit straight. And the jar lids in the centre will have tea lights in them. Obviously it looks a bit odd with no table settings out but I thought I'd ask for opinion on whether it needs confetti or crystals scattered?

excuse the mess in the background...our conservatory has transformed in to my wedding room.

I personally think that you don't need any scatter things, if you want to fill up any spaces I would say more candles. I love the simplicity of your pretty table decorations.

I agree that you don't need any scatter crystals or petals, and perhaps more candle tealights?

I personally wouldn't use the doileys either, but I know that it's part of the look you are going for.

I agree - have it just like it is with maybe a couple more candles in between, but no sparkles or confetti x

They are so pretty! Love the colour scheme and the doilies are a lovely touch. I think a bit of confetti, maybe the patterned pastel/floral type like little love hearts perhaps.

I think they're lovely but am undecided on the doylies. I'm not keen on the table number though. I think the colour is wrong. For me it clashes with the colour of your pots. It's difficult as we can;t see what else you have around, eg chair sashes, bridesmaids dresses etc etc, but I think they'd look better in Ivory/cream to match your cream flowers.

Table confetti - I think you can go either way but not crystals. I'd go for hearts or petals to match your flowers.

    hi

i love the theme you have running through here but i agree about the table number been abit to blue if that makes sense have you thought about maybe doing a stripy number of blue and pink to include both colours. I dont think you need any confetti as its plain yet effective i love your idea but if you did chose to get some i would go with pastle coloured traditional confetti nothing to sparkly as it would wreck the flow of the table.

    xx

Please can you tell me where you got the flowers? I'm looking to do something very similar to this with just a simple single flower in each vase - looking online it's difficult to tell how big the flowers are so I haven't managed to order anything yet.

I think the doileys will look better when they are on the softer pink table runner as they won't be such a contrast.
