Table Centrepieces

Blondie28, 11 February, 2013 at 18:36 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi All

Just wondering what you are all doing for your centrepieces? I'm trying to think of something a little alternative to having fresh flowers.

I'd love to see piccies if anyone wants to share ?

We're having lavender trees in silver pots, with ribbon round the trunk and little battery lights in the leaves.

I'm having tall candelabra's surrounded by tealights and alternating small vases with single flowers and blue/clear scatter crystals.

A bit like this but the candelabra's are bigger!:

We're having plants in lace buckets. We've opted for plants over flowers so we can have them potted and sorted days before. Then at the end of it all we can try to palm them off on guests ?

    Have you been on pinterest?

There are loads of amazing centrepiece ideas on there.

I won't flash mine as I am having flowers in china jugs! But depends on your wedding 'theme' really... what about 2 or 3 tier cake stands with cupcakes on - favours or pudding! Or candles, or some sort of photo display.

Hope you think of something soon!

These are ours, not to everyone's tastes but I love them!

    Thanks ladies

We have no theme as such but our colours are dusky pink, ivory with hints of black.

I'm sure we'll come up with something eventually.

Our venue has tall candelabras that we can hire so i may just use these but jazz them up somehow.

Out of everything i've organised so far this one seems to be the most difficult ? - i think i've lost my mojo!

I had orchids in vases, but what about potted, dusty pink roses? Any potted, pink flowering plant can then be given away to guests. You could tie a ivory ribbon around them & cover the actual pot in an ivory or black coloured pot to go with yout theme colours.

I have also seen various fruit/vegetable displays are centrpieces. What about pink coloured apples?

Pillar candles at 3 different heights can look nice also.

All the above options mean you dont need to hire candelabras from the venue, but you'd need to work out if you'd actually save money or not.
