Table centres with tealight candles...

kc 2b, 19 August, 2008 at 11:43 Posted on Planning 0 7

Does anyone have any pics of a bowl vase with flowers in that is surrounded by tea light candles?

Trying to figure out how many I need so that i can go candle holder shopping!

TIA x

Hi, I am new to Hitched and am not sure if this is going to work!

I don't have a photo but we had a BBQ engagement party and bought little glass tea light holders from Ikea that only cost 9p each - we bought blue glass and white glass. They are so cheap that you could use as few or as many as possible! They were in the market place bit of Ikea.

Hope that helps! When is your wedding date? Mine is not until December 18 2009 - seems an age away!

Sherrie, in the first picture there is a silver plate at the bottom. Where did you get that from?

I have the candles and everything that I want for my centre piece but have been looking for a silver plate and that looks perfect!

It's a mirror plate. It is for holding candles, if you need help sourcing them let me know, they are quite hard to get hold of at the moment as everyone wants them!

If you are anywhere near Bristol we hire mirror plates, round or square in a variety of sizes.

Thanks Sherrie. Unfortunately no where near Bristol but will have a look around and see if I can find some.

Your florist should be table mirrors for you either to buy or hire, many of us have them in various sizes to hire, its worth asking!

As to tealights some brides do 1 at each place setting or 3 / 4 / 5 /6 on a round or square table.

    Thanks guys.

Sherrie I had a look through your page earlier cos I knew you were bound to have some and spotted several on your pics so I went for 4 each. Not sure they'll fit on the mirror though with the vase as it's a small one (like the one with the martini glass)

I went for red ones of the clear one's you have on the pic above, as the gerberas will be red. Hope it's not too much red but am hoping it'll be ok!

The pier had a sale on and they were 25p each (I hope they weren't cheaper in Ikea Nessy!)

November bride, I managed to get some miror plates from Au Naturel for £2 each if you have one of those near you (i'm in Birmingham) don't know if that helps at all?

    Thanks for your help x
