Table Decoratiion - FLASH?

Hi All,

I think we are going with a Black and Ivory theme with a hint of bright green. I am stuck as what we should put on the tables. I know what we want to have as favours, ivory pails full of sweets. I may buy some hand fans (not electric) as an extra for the tables as we are getting married in july and thought they would be good if its hot. I don't fancy spending a load on flowers as alothough they look pretty I just think there are cheaper better looking table dec's out there.

I need help, guidence and inspiration as to what should go on the table. I was thinking the favours and place names then maybe a fish bowl with water, and floating flower or something simliar and maybe some black table crystals???

Any ideas or help woyld be great please. Also f you have any pics you can upload of what you are having/ had that would be a graet help.

Not that they'll be much use in july but I made them myself and I'm pretty happy with them.

We are having herbs rather than flowers (3 silver pots per table) - loads cheaper, smell nice and people can take them home afterwards!!

We are also having three little lanterns per table, table names and place names.

Our daughter had black and ivory with a splash of magenta and polka dots thrown in for good measure! She went for black ostrich feathers with a very minimalsic design of flowers. These are the ones she had that I made for her:-

I think the green potted herbs/plants would go well in black vases and your guests could take them home as keepsakes.
