Table mock up FLASH...

delvesje, 26 September, 2010 at 13:00 Posted on Planning 0 14

My daughter and I went to the venue last week and did a mock up of the table. The ballons arent quite right because the room we had, had very low ceilings. Be alright on the night though.

Be careful if you are lighting the candles with helium though as you could have an explosion on your hands!

Just a thought - will the bottom balloon be at head height when guests are seated? You don't want people not being able to see who's opposite them!

I think I might be pinching the candle idea and altering it a bit. Looks lovely Smiley smile

The heat will still travel up to the balloons and it is dangerous having a naked flane anywhere near the helium as it is a gas.

Could you just blow up the balloons and hang them from the ceiling rather than helium above?

    Do you need the balloons?

I think i would relocate the balloons to the floor, around the edge of the room. Would be far too worried about a big bang happening.

Table looks great by the way. x

This looks good and what a good idea to do the trial run. Just out of interest what are the sparkly bits you refer to? and do you have different favours for the men and the women (looking for inspiration!).

Why dont you do a test run? As although helium isnt flammable (thats why they use it in balloons) it expands with heat so they'd burst. So what you could do, is just not blow the balloons up to their full capacity, that way if the helium does expand, the balloons wont burst. Be better to try it out before hand though as is a bit of a gamble for your wedding day.

I do love how the balloons are staggered - could you do that, but with those LED candles instead?

They will burst if they are too near the heat the same as air con will burst them if they are too cold. You could use the balloons around the room in the same formation.

The sparky bits are the table diamontes and little diamontes that I have painstakingly stuck on to the ribbon around the candles.

We have minature whiskey bottles with a sporan keyring for the men and little welsh love spoons for the ladies as our favors.
