Table name help!!

We are having famous literary couples - an idea i got from pinterest. I'm doing a phd in literature, tho, and our reception venue is in a converted library, so it fits. are there any other hobbies that the two of you share, or something unique about your venue you could capitalise on?

We're getting married in Brighton, so we're hoping to go for Brighton based things for ours, like pier etc How about other things the two of you enjoy? Could be films or characters, different alcohols, bands, lyrics, trees, anything! I saw one the other day that described the guests, bit cheeky for me but could be cool! Things like the noisy ones, the troublemakers etc! I kinda like the knots though, quirky but you!

We're thinking of going with characters from our favourite film - The Nightmare Before Christmas

This!!! We aren't having tables as we are having a very relaxed reception at my mum's. But, if we had OH would have had famous golf courses and I'd have argued for episodes from Buffy!!!

We are having land marks of places we've been on holiday e.g. Statue of Liberty and included a photo of us there and a little story about the trip. Shades of purple would be nice but then I do love the colour purple!

I have decided on knots! So we have:

Top Table, us and parents: True Lovers knot, The BM table: Family knot (my BM's are my cousins) and the Best Men (X3!!!) table: Friendship knot.

Then other tables we have: Figure of eight, Bowline, Clove Hitch, Sheet bend, Butterfly knot, Reef knot, Sheepshank and Half hitch!

Do they sound ok? I've been sat with OH's knot book and picked hopefully well known ones.

I think Knots idea is great. We are having names of our favourite 80s films. We don't have an 80s theme but love these films & wanted something a bit fun x

You could also have instructions on the back of the table name and a spare bit of rope for people to try to tie the knot themselves?

Love this idea! Hopefully we'll do this if we have time!

Im all excited now! We've ordered purple rope (25 metres! OH ordered it - it was nearly 50 metres before I told him how ridiculous that was!) and mini easels for the tables! I can't wait now to get them!
