Table name holder - help needed

Penny P, 25 November, 2013 at 11:52 Posted on Planning 0 9

We aren't having table numbers, we're having famous dogs! My original idea was to have picture frames with a picture of the dog. I bought 7 frames months ago when our venue and table decoration were completely different! I looked at them this morning and they're too big and will over power the centrepiece.

I'm looking for ideas for a cheap option other than buying more frames in a smaller size. Am I missing a trick? Is there a very cheap or free DIY option? I would like pictures of the famous dog around average photo size.

Our wedding is kind of country vintage style if that helps anyone!

Thank you, what would I do without you all??

I agree, how about something simple like this?

Or how about mini easels? Could always spray paint another colour, or could probably get white ones too?

What about these IKEA TOLSBY ones?

They are only a £1 each so about as cheap as you could get and they are double sided [you put two pictures in] so all the guests on your table would be able to see the picture ;-)

    They are 10 x 15 cm which I think is a standard 4 x 6" photo.

We have the tolsby ones, our tables are films, so we have a copy of the dvd /film cover on one side and blurb about it on the other side, then another one of the frames with a thank you in it on each table. They are uber cheap too !

The cheapest/free way to hold a photo up upright would be to ask your venue to keep some champagne corks for you. Cut a slit in the bottom of them and feed the photo into the slit. You might need to back them on card and for a larger photo, use two, one at each of the bottom corners. If you wanted to make them look them different you could paint them with silver acrylic and tie one of your name markers around it.
