table names

My OH isnt bothered what the tables are called lol. To be honest, when I asked him about names, He had never heard of tables having names heehee x

Could you go for lux designers associated with different stuff for each table? Instead of repeated shoe designers etc?

I would be using be a mix of designers, not all shoe designers.

He he, I assumed the 'd' was a typo. I was more pointing out that you'd named the product, rather than the designer.

I like the idea but my comment again would be is it a bit one sided from your point of view.

I was really wary of including OH in bits like this so it doesn't just look like 'my wedding'

We are having types of coffee as he is a big coffee fan - my only concern is that we have wine corks in our decoration theme so coffee may seem a bit odd but hey ho that's my issue not yours!

We still have plenty of time to decide but I am thinking on naming our tables after colours - I LOVE colourfull things so would suit.

I agree with this. I have been so wary in fact that our tables will be named after the Arsenal Invincible Team (I had never even heard of such a thing) and the table plan to go with it is a mini wooden table football!

I suppose this is quite endearing, whereas I would feel that using designer names is a bit 'girly'. Just my opinion and if he doesn't care then it is nice to choose something you like!

If your OH really doesn't care then its a great idea. However before you go ahead and plan everything around it double check with him. My OH said he didn't care and that he didn't think it was necessary, then when I told him what I'd got planned (either band names or musicals) he complained that they weren't things that he felt any connection to, so i've had to have a bit of a rethink. I think what must have happened was that he hadn't given it any thought before but once he'd had time to think about it he realised he did want a say after all

That's a really cool idea, never heard of it before but i really really like it. I guess some people will find it cool and others probably (like the oldies) probably wont have a clue but who cares, it makes it interesting..love it! thanks for sharing

We're having NYC landmarks. It's one of our favourite places and somewhere we visit a lot. We're having the "Empire State" table, the "Statue of Liberty" table etc etc.

My other half has designed the table name cards using pictures that we have taken on one of our trips.

My OH is a mad physicist and wants to name the tables after quarks and other particles - top, bottom, charm, strange, up, down - so we'd appropriately sit at the Top table... I've said he can do that as long as I get my own geeky themed stuff (haven't decided what yet though). It's very us though =D

I asked my OH when I first had the idea...he loved it. He always laughs at my shoe addiction & always tells people how many pairs of shoes I have. He thinks my shoe addiction & love of clothes is funny & thinks its great to name the tables after my addiction lol.

I just need to decide which table I want to sit at now lol x

My OH asked if he could name the tables which I was surprised about! I couldn't care less to be honest, I guess we're a bit back-to-front to the stereotypes for naming tables!! LOL!!
