Table names - lets hear yours!

H2b wants either our favourite movies, or countries we have visited and want to visit. Im not keen though, I'm happy having boring old numbers!

We are going with book titles and we're hoping to make them vaguely relevant to the people sitting at each table e.g. OH went to uni in Nottingham so some of his uni friends might be "The Adventures of Robin Hood" etc. That might end up giving us an even bigger headache with the table plan though!

We're having types of tree ha ha. Our theme is autumn, we have lots of red/gold/orange colours, leaves, ivy etc so tree names seemed like a nice idea. I also saw a table plan on pinterest (the making of which has been delegated to OH as I have zero creativity), which had a big tree in the background, with the tables coming off the branches, looked lovely ?

Love it! I guess all the less favoured relatives will be Manor Marussia!?

Haha! That is a brilliant idea. I wanted to have a board with which tables everyone was sitting on and then just have a picture of the team car on each table and see who could find the right table bu the OH thought that was a bit mean!

Our honeymoon was a road-trip around Italy, so our table names were all the different cities we were going to visit. It was a great talking point on the day!

We're having big wooden numbers and a photo of both of us at the corresponding age. His mum has dug out some funny ones so will give everyone a laugh!

We are having the names of the Ibiza clubs and sunset cafes. We love going on holiday there and it's also where we got engaged. We are going back in 3 weeks so I will be keeping my eyes peeled for postcards or props that I can bring home that will tie in with it.

Our table names are the houses of the Seven Kingdoms from Game of Thrones. I think our table will be House [our surname] though.

Each has a photo of us with the name on it. Then Laminated to go in the name holder.

The table plan has a different photo with all the names on, then displayed in a heart hanging frame

I really like the idea of the photos and thought about it for ours but we are having a wall of photo collages from different times in our lives

I'm a huge musicals geek so H2B has agreed to have our tables named after musicals we have seen together (read as - musicals he has been dragged to with me!) so Lion King, Wicked, Rock of Ages etc....

We're having the names of local beaches to our venue where we have happy memories!

I was thinking about table 1, table 2 and table 3 but I've started changing my mind

We're big wine drinkers so using the different grape varieties

The only issue with the photos is my hair and fashion choices between the ages of 12 and 16 - I am going to have to be selective with the photos I choose!

We had river names of our favorite rivers which we had kayaked with the table setting being an OS map of that area and river, became a bit of a guessing game for the guests to work out the link.

We did place names but that included the names of streets, pubs etc. rather than just bragging about where we have been on holiday.

We're doing this too! I'm having to be selective about my teenage years ones; really bad hair dye choices among other things. Even my mother says I had an ugly duckling phase haha! Lucky for my OH he was cute all the way through! Live hearing everyone's ideas x

my H2B is a huge F1 fan too and as a way of involving something he loves in2 the wedding we have done F1 tracks for table names and the top table is The Podium ☺️

We had characters from Last of the Summer Wine. It was a joke because I am originally from the place where the series was filmed.

We're also thinking of having F1 teams or possibly racetracks. I like the idea of The Podium, I might have to steal that!

Our wedding is the same day as the Monaco GP next year which has caused OH a great deal of distress! He wants to name the tables after corners on the Monaco circuit but I think that's too specific, most of the guests aren't motorsport fans and probably wouldn't recognise the names.

We are thinking of having names of bands or perhaps albums / song titles. Then on the table name card we will put a bit about why - when we saw them live etc

We got engaged at Disney World (cheesy I know!), so our table names are our favourite rides from the theme parks

We're having a LOTR themed wedding so were thinking of; The Shire, Rivendell, Hobbiton, Isengard, Helms Deep, Fangorn Forest, Minas Tirith…etc ?

We're having musicals too, with posters on the tables to identify them. Top table's going to be 'the producers', friends with 5 kids will on the 'sound of music' table, table of couples will be 'guys and dolls' etc

We're doing our favourite biscuits! Having an afternoon tea wedding breakfast so it seemed more than appropriate and my OH LOVES his biscuits, so it was great to agree on it :-) going for ones like jammie dodgers (most of the kids will be on this one cos it's fun) and having part of our favours as the corresponding table name. Top table had to be shortbread - can't beat it!

Owing to my love of horses and the fact that our wedding has a slight horse theme to it, we've gone for famous horses - a mix of famous racehorses and fiction ones. We have Red Rum, Desert Orchid, Kauto Star, Denman, Frankel, shadowfax, Sea Biscuit, Black Beauty and War Horse for the guest tables, with the top table being Montgomery which is my horse :-)
