Table Place Cards- what do you think?

rach_S_, 16 June, 2014 at 18:49 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi All,

I'm in the process of creating table place cards, MIL- to- be will be cross stitching the names in Navy.

Hopefully you can see the picture attached, this is the first example. We wont have them exactly like this, as the cross stitch will be placed behind a window so you cant see the frayed edges of the cross stitch fabric. We were looking at having a pink origami heart on it as well.. what do you think?

Im happy to loose the origami heart or and maybe put some silver sticky embellishments onto the navy card to spruce it up and maybe have it a bit smaller.

x

They look great! Definitely keep the heart and maybe add a few sparkles, but nothing much is needed I don't think. My sister had cross-stich name placecards for her wedding (they stuck a menu for what everyone had chosen inside them too).

Looks like your colour scheme might be the same as mine, navy & light pink?

Yes my colour scheme is navy and light pink. The BM dresses are navy and my bouquet will be little big vintagey pink roses. Cant wait!

Hope your planning is going well x

I would make the heart smaller - the name should be the focus of a place card. Also, I would ask your MIL to take a heart to a haberdashery and match the colour of the heart to the thread colour for the border on the stitched piece.
