BrogstarBride, 20 April, 2012 at 14:02 Posted on Planning 0 11

I have done a rough table seating plan and when i set out i thought Right i want 8 on a table that will be perfect but it kinda hasnt worked out that way and i have tables of 7,8, 9 and a 10 ? Trouble is i cant take some of the people from the table of 10 and put them on the 7s as they dont know each other!! Has anyone else experinced this dilema lol? If so whats the answer? Smiley smile

im having eight tables most have either eight people or six people seated on them, i think they hold up to 10 people though so any extras will just be put on to the tables we alrady have as theres only space for eight tables on my plan ?

I have also done a rough table plan and have between 8 and 10 on each table so I don't think it will notice too much. Like you say I just can't split certain people up or I don't want to groups certain people together. Although I may have to as some of oh's guests still haven't rsvp'd so will have to fit them in somewhere ?

I reckon people will be happier to squeeze up with people they know, than be in plenty of space with people they dont know!!

They'll only be on the table for around 2 hours, mixing people up is half the fun!! We're having 8 max to a table and are trying to do half my friends/family and half his, so they mingle!!

Once the booze is flowing everyone will chat!

I'll be mixing the tables, each will have half from H2Bs side and half from mine, or as close as I can get it with approx 8 to a table, I think its nice that both sides get a chance to mix and there will be no set seating plan in the evening so it will be up to individuals to sit where they wish.

No I think thats fine, we can get up to 10 on a table so with our guest list that means 10 tables (not including top table). In reality we won't have exactly 100 guests, and the ones we do have we'll want to group together into families/friends. Having bought enough table centerpieces for 10 tables already I'll stick to that amount and just spread people more, some tables may be 8, some 9, some 10. I'll be taking into consideration pushchairs/larger people as well.

We have ten tables and the numbers vary; 8, 10, 12 & 14.

I quite like having different size tables actually Smiley smile

My tables vary from 8-10 people. It was more important to seat them guests with people they will engage with rather than them being identical numbers.
