Table plans - flash, you know you want to!

Storky, 10 January, 2011 at 13:38 Posted on Planning 0 30

Flash me your table plans/table plan ideas, please, ladies!

I'm after something with a rustic feel to it (maybe several picture frames, luggage cards etc) but keen to see all sorts of inspiration!

Thanks very much!

P.S. Bonus marks for anyone who has an entire mood board of table plans!

Mine I beleive is actually "borrowed" from another Hitcher, so thank you whoever you are!

Its not so much rustic though....probably more vintage

Oooo Nat, I LOVE the luggage table plan!! Although I think that I may be using too many luggage tags already, Ive got them for the names on the table to be wrapped round the napkins and also on the wish tree.....

Hmmm you have got me thinking!

    This:

With cards for each table (7), not pictures of small children. May weave flowers into it.

these are a few I've made, though they may not be 'rustic' enough for you! ?

the last 2 aren't finished plans, but you get the idea

Nice old suitcases you say? There were some nice ones in a local antiques shop I went to a while ago. They said they can always keep an eye out if a customer asks for something they don't have in the shop.

I don't mind having another look for you?

I don't think they would be very much. I was looking at some of their HOOGE vintage trunks and they were less than £50.

I love the flat wire birdcages! I had an idea of having cut out dove shapes to write the table plans on and then attaching them to the wire heart previously shown but we're already using the wire heart as our wish tree so a bird cage would be a great alternative. Do you know where I could get these?

I know this isn't remotely fitting with your theme, but it fits with mine lol - although I can't for the life of me decide if I like it or not??

Never really sure about the point of table plans - we aren't having a formal sit down meal (it's a barbecue) so those that are on the top table know it; why can't everyone else decide who they sit at a table with? They are adults, aren't they?

In your case AJ you might not see the benefit of a table plan.

We wanted our tables to be as equal in numbers as possible and I know if I left it to people then that wouldn't happen. It also helps the venue staff as they have to set out a certain numbers of places on each table, know where the dietary requirements are etc etc

Hi, can you let me know where you found the photo at the top - the one with the cream panels with the table names pegged onto string? I LOVE this look and want to try and find out where the panels are from!!

    Thanks!

Can't flash, but me and my sister are making peg people! Old fashioned wooden pegs that we will 'peg' onto the tables on the card (the tables will be 3d) and the person can keep their peg as it will be a likeness to them (yellow wool hair, etc)! ?
