louisepalmer79, 22 March, 2011 at 16:31 Posted on Planning 0 21

Okay, I've started to think about what kind of table plan we should have to show people's seating positions....does anyone have any ideas? Flash me yours if you can as I am really struggling for inspiration!

I'm having vintage style photo frames set out on a table for my table plan and each table will be named after the word LOVE in different languages.

    Just a couple...

    My table plan:

With table names, rather than postcards. Going to spray gold.

    On the table:

Thanks girls! I quite like the photo frame idea but have a feeling that would put a lot of pressure on me over the next month or two to locate 10 frames (where has the time gone?!?) and also LOVE the heart but not sure whether 10 tables would fit into this? How many tables are you having?

Sarah-Jayne - I quite like the simplicity of this and the use of the pegs. I shall have a look at your website as think something along these lines could work with a bit of adaptation. Is it possible to personalise designs as our colour scheme is predominantly brown, cream and rustic pink - with a lot of rustic hearts and vintage bird cages etc.

Hiya Louise, theres loads more on my facebook rather than on the site so have a look at that if your on it. I don't really do any set designs so its just a case of seeing what you like from any of my designs and any bits and bobs can be incorporated to get something perfect for you. Yep those colours are fine. Sarah x

    Hello,

I'm wanting to add elements of vintage to my wedding!

What makes you like this option for table plans? Are you doing anything else other than table plans to include vintage?

I have a huge old trunk that I'm using. One side will have the tables and names and the other side will have old family Wedding photographs.

Wow, there are some amazing ideas out there! I have seen one which I loved but can't seem to locate. Someone had used some old cream shutters (think outside windows) and had them open and used string and had pegged the table names to it so they were hanging (not dissimilar to Knitting Vixon's idea).

Mrshatrnett2B - I liked elements of the Parisian one and suggested to my OH something along these lines as we have a french rustic cream picture frame at home and we could use sepia photos of the table names (i.e. bottles of wine) and use raffia as opposed to organza (as we used raffia in the invites and also on the favours).

Also, we're getting married in a barn and our table decorations are either cream candleabras or cream bird cages and we're hanging rustic hearts around the barn too. Kind of a mix of vintage/shabby chic/general rusticness is what we're going for. My bouquet will be a mixture of sweet avalanche roses with avalanche roses, white freesia and greenery (cant remember which sort but I know rosemary and euclyptus are in there....) and will be held together with raffia.

Cricketbride - I love some of the ideas you posted too....esp the hanging of frames - although I suspect I have left it a litle bit too late for collecting the things needed to pull off this idea! Rubbish ☹️

I guess I need to get moving on this now!!

    Hi,

I too am having the heart table plan, I have attached it to an easel that I painted the same colour - here it is, but this is not the finished article!! I need to tidy up the roses and add some more - and the paper will be nice pearescent card, not rubbish paper!

Thank you! The heart was from www.melodymaison.co.uk, the easel I just found online, I googled 'metal easel' and loads of results came up, cant remember exactly where it was from, but it came in 3 sizes, mine was the medium. can't remember how much it was either, sorry. But I'm pretty pleased with it. It was also black, so I got ivory metal paint from focus which covered the black in about 3 coats...The flowers are from Rainbow Florist on here...I also have the same roses for my chairs, one rose per chair tucked into the bow...so should match that.

I'm having a ivory birdcage as a postbox too, with matching rose. Hope this helps x

Have just sent that link home to have a proper look at this evening with my OH ?

This could be just what we're after and I love the idea for the postcard box too - it will match our table centrepieces perfectly!

    Thanks Clarem1986 ?

Louisepalmer when your looking for easels online, make sure you check the sizes because some are really tiny! And hold books and things!

Not sure where in the country you are, but I get married in 3 days so will probably look to sell the heart and easel afterwards. I'm in Surrey.

    Clarem1986 - Really???

Can you message me when you're ready/back from your honeymoon - I live in London and am getting married in Surrey (just outside Guildford) so could look to collect them from you. I get married in June so this could work out perfectly!

Have an amazing day - I hope this good weather stays for you too and can't wait to see photos if you choose to post them ?

    x
