I meant to post this a while ago but forgot. Seeing as there are a few TT post of late, I thought now would be a good time. TT were on Jonathon Ross a couple of weeks ago, sang a couple of songs. TT were on Jonathon Ross a couple of weeks ago, sang a couple of songs. I was planning on buying tickets off e*bay if they were any good but they sounded awful...not lady gaga awful....even worse!

So...are they really that bad or were they just having an off night? Based on that performance, I wouldnt even go to a free concert if they did one!

ETA : sorry to offend any TT fans. <waits to be flamed>

Yep that song was great too, a different experience with my H with me. He thinks I'm obsessed, he has posted me singing along to TT on youtube as well, it's so bad!

Me too ?, when it was coming up to half ten and i knew it was going to be ending, I was gutted. Been trying to cheer myself up by looking at my photos and recordings from last night but it's not the same. I wasn't hysterical at the concert like I used to be when I was a teenager but I was singing and screaming. I so enjoyed it and just so sad it's over ☹️

I think you might need to post a link. It might help change my mind about them.

Unfortunately, it would only strengthen your argument and I can't have that ?

It really is bad, as I was so giddy, I was literally singing into the camera! He's posted a few (the scoundrel!) but I think these are particularly bad ones

Enjoy! (or not as the case will be ?)

    Here is my story ?

I remember still reading Smash Hits magazine and they were trying to launch Take That, they were in every edition. I was more of an E17 girl. I really disliked some TT songs, some were OK. Then they brought out Back For Good which I loved. The first CD of theirs I bought was the greatest hits one. So it's not like I have been a fan since I was 14 or whatever, they have a new fan in me.

When they came back, I loved Patience and Rule the World. Mr Mal bought me the DVD of their last concert which I watched over and over. I still liked them but was a bit TT'd out ? and when I was given their CD for my christmas, I didn't even listen to it until I went to their concert this June. That was a spur of the moment thing, a Hitcher (Piggin) invited me!

I have to say it was absolutely brilliant. I was wishing Mr Mal was there to see it, in fact I was wishing everyone I knew was there ? Since then, I have been listening to them every day in the car. I cannot wait for The Circus DVD to come out so I can show my Mum and everyone. Ive been watching clips of the Hampden concert on You Tube. Oh, and I put on the last concert DVD last week and it was rubbish in comparison, the latest concert blew that (and every one I have been to) out of the water.

    The end. ?

Oh thank fuck it's not just me! And you're someone who usually seems like a normal, sensible person. It helps to reassure me that this is not me going mad. I hate it though. But love it at the same time. Come one girls, how do Lois & I get over this?

(I realise that buying DVDs and listening constantly to their music is really not helping, but it's like a drug that I need. Oh, and I also bought the iTunes pass and have been watching backstage footage all evening).

You made me crack! I'm going to see them tomorrow and have studiously avoided online pictures and videos but I cracked and loved it. Am so excited! I was another one who was completely obsessed when I was younger, with Mark. My more mature taste has shifted my allegiance to Gary now...

Katy, you will love it. That clip is good as it is close up but cos they are so close to the speakers you don't really hear the crowd singing along. I sang louder than I have evern sang before and I still couldn't hear myself - it was so loud in there.

I have resisted joining the forum etc, but what is this Itunes pass of which you speak? I'm going to completely lose my spare time if I even look, aren't I?

Have also resisted buying the TT bracelet as keep telling myself I am 35 not 12.

I am usually uber sensible - the people I went to the concert with thought I had been possessed, I think.

Pmsl @ Take That being rubbish ? It's perfectly acceptable and normal to not like a band, there's loads I don't like, but I don't think you could call them rubbish by any stretch of the imagination.

Re: the JR show, when you listened to the audio without watching the show Mark was bank on key, they'd been gigging for a month at that stage and I genuinely think they were knackered. They're known for being showmen so it's very unusual to get a bad performance out of them.

Am going to start another TT thread now just to annoy people ?

Right read it all now ?.

I love TT and their concerts are amazing but I do have to say I am not as keen on the new album as the old stuff. I love the original TT stuff and also though beautiful world was a great CD but I'm not as keen on the circus - it's good but not as good IYSWIM.

Their lives shows are awesome, nobody else compares and I've been to loads of other gigs.

Also I've never heard them sounding rubbish but then I didn't see JR so can't comment on that one, or lady gaga as she couldn't be arsed to turn up when we saw TT.

And when Jason sings Wooden Boat I just melt!

I'm surprised people are not keen on The Circus, I think it's their best work to date and agree with whoever said it was a grower.

Hold Up A Light is just brilliant, as is Here and How Did It Come To This.

I agree that The Circus is almost certainly their best album yet. There were a couple I didn't like prior to seeing them live but I was converted by what they did with them (The Circu/What is Love). Hold Up A Light is the quintessential gig song, The Garden is beautiful and I love, love, love the secret track, She Said.

    Shake it
    Everybody now shake it
    Everybody just step to the
    right, jump up, turn around
    and shake it

    Everybody now boogey
    Everybody now boogey
    Everybody put your hands
    in the air, turn around
    everybody
    Let's boogey

I love Howard giggling before they sing She Said. I also loved the secret track on Beautiful World, Butterfly.

Beast, I totally agree with you about What Is Love and The Circus, hearing them live changed the songs for me. I liked them before but they weren't my favourites from the album, now I looooove them, so moving.
