Take That weekenders

How was it for you?

I went Friday night and I can honestly say it was one of the best nights of my life. I cried twice, once during Never Forget when I looked around the stadium and saw all the hands in the air, it took my breath away, and at the end when they sang Rule The World.

I would probably give my children away to be able to be there tonight for the last show, but don't tell anyone I said that ?

Those that got the tube home, did you have the comedy announcer while walking up Wembley Way? ?

Yep, Friday was awesome. Never Forget made me go all goose-bumpy. Wooden Boat always make me cry, beautiful song. Tho of course would've been MUCH better if Jason had obeyed and sung it his pants!

Where do they go from here? Each time I've seen them (every tour since the early 1990s) they have just got better and better and the shows more amazing. The elephant was fab.

Going tonight! Have had TT on since about 8.30am but think H secretly loves it. Am fairly emotional anyway and now pregnant so think the chances of me ? are high to extremely high! Sorry for all the exclamation marks - can't stop them! ? I LOVE 'Hold up a light' and have heard a rumour that it gets an outing which I can't wait for...

Oh Lois, I meant to say on the other thread, I feel the same way as you and The Beast, and I'm not a bit ashamed of it. Although Mr Hole is getting a bit tired of it, I think ?

Sciver, they're contracted to do one more album so I should think there'll be another tour, I'm not sure they'll be able to top this but they'll certainly match it. I have faith in my boys ?

Sadly Mr Beast is all too aware and is getting more than a little pissed off I think. Although it's not actually led to a row yet I can feel it brewing if I can't pull myself together?

Friday nite was absolutely amazing, would love to go again tonight but don't have the cash unfortunately! We got standing tickets but managed to sit in the unreserved seating area near the middle so had a pretty good view.

As you will see from the other thread, youtube shows exactly how much of a good time I had! I loved Never Forget, could it be magic, up all night, rule the world, all of it actually, especially the divine Mark Owen......

Last night was bloody brilliant and I cried too... I wish I were going tonight, next time I will book more than one night.

Lady Gaga did perform last night - she was Ok and had a much better voice than I expected her to have but I was too excited about seeing TT to care about her performance.

I agree it was the best night out I have ever had and I don't know what can top this.

*Sigh* Oh. I've just mooned about the whole weekend with my iPod in listening to the album, I'm so sad. ?

I went Friday too. I was standing, close to the gangway, pretty much in the middle between the two stages, on the side that the camera was (on the side that Mark didn't face when he sat on the piano ☹️)

I cried during Never Forget and Rule the World when the fireworks started. I've got a great little video of a 360 sweep of the whole stadium during Rule the World. It's on Facebook if you want to add me, Hole. My initials are JW and I'm friends with CFB, RBH, JR, JB and others.

Off to swan around humming some more now.

I don't know who any of those initials belong to ?

I'm on there as Heidi Holio if you want to add me, will try and spot myself on your video as I was in tier 2 to the left of the stage as you look at it.

I'm with you on the mooning, I'm currently watching gig clips on you tube and I still have butterflies. It's ridiculous as I'm a 35 year old woman, a fact Mr Hole keeps reminding of in a rather clenched teeth fashion ?

Last night was fabulous. I really enjoyed Lady Gaga, I thought she was really good. Would die for her figure, it is amazing. Didn't bother getting there for Gary Go though.

Saw James Morrison at their opening night in Sunderland and I thought he was good too.

    They rock.

I went last night and it was Amazing! Lady Gaga was ok, we thought she was lacking in stage presence.

TT were fabulous from the very beginning and the clowns and the build up to trying to work out how they were going to get to the middle bit. I cried when they first came on. My friend I was with upset someone stood in front of him as he kept hitting her in the head with his excitement. Oops. They were possibly the best gig I've ever seen, ever. We all came home declaring we can never see anything else live ever again as it'll never beat last night. Shame it took us 2 hours to get home though.

We went Friday night and it was amazing, we were in the gods but the atmosphere was brilliant, would do it all again tonight..I am not even a big fan but they really give you a show and we all felt that we had seen something wonderful. Tried to get back to see Kasabian at Eden but didn't get back early enough but I am seeing Paul Weller and Florence and the Machine next weekend so all good?

    From bbc.co.uk

Take That have concluded their nationwide Circus Live tour with a show at London's Wembley Stadium.

Beginning in Sunderland on 5 June the month-long tour has been witnessed by more than 1 million people.

Speaking to Radio 1's Chris Moyles following the final show, Gary Barlow confirmed the band will tour again.

He said: "We want to do some more, we want to go back out again. We'll come at it fresh next time and see where we go."

Barlow also confirmed that the live show won't be visiting Europe following the success of the 20-date UK tour, saying it was "just so expensive to travel it".

He added: "It was an emotional night for us - this isn't the end."

The record breaking tour has seen 1, 080, 000 people witness the extravagant gigs as fans spent £50 million on seeing the reunited boy band.

    *******

God only knows how they will top this. Part of me thinks they need to do something completely different - maybe small unplugged gigs or something (but then tickets would be a NIGHTMARE to get hold of, so they can only do this if I get a ticket!)

I went last night and it was awesome. Would have been even better if I could actually have seen half of what was going on ? We were right up the top but on the side by the stage so the view of the screen was pretty rubbish. I was hoping they would put the goal end TV screens on but seemingly not. Like the level 4 seating at the O2, I think it's one to be avoided in the future.

I'm an emotional wreck this morning.

I had to travel back to Manchester this morning and I am absolutely knackered!! ?

It was excellent. We were on the pitch just to the left and in front of the middle stage. We got a fab view of them there, about 15-20m away. I could see them on the stage, but it was a bit hit and miss with hands and heads getting in the way. ?

The whole thing was excellent. I had a heeyuge lump in my throat during Rule the World... especially because of Howard crying. Its been making me feel emotional ever since. (soppygit)

They all looked hot. And so happy. What a night.

    And I want that elephant.

I went on Friday too - we were standing between the rear lighting tower and the small stage so we had a pretty good view.

It was the most amazing show - I also cried when the fireworks started - it was so brilliant that I couldn't bear the thought of it being over.

I'm feeling a bit low now as I was looking forward to it for so long and now it's over... Like HH and Lois I've turned back into my TT obsessed 13 year old self. Mr E thinks I'm being daft but I told him that I've been in love with Take That for far longer than I've been in love with him so he'll just have to accept it.

I can't wait to get home and listen to the hour they played on Radio 1 on the iplayer ?

I must do this as well, I can't wait for the DVD to come out and relive Friday night. Thanks for reminding me! I have been mutually appreciating them this afternoon with someone at work who saw them last night!

I also was very chuffed to have seen the lead singer from the Script right up close on Friday as we got there early and he was having pics taken with some girls. Was gutted as I didn't get my camera out in time to have a photo with him, he's absolutely gorgeous! I would still take Mark Owen over him every time though.......

Lois, I cried again this morning when they played Rule The World on R1. This is SO not me, I have loved the boys for as long as I remember, but I've never felt a comedown after a gig like this before. I feel very silly, but like you I can't explain it.

It really is just a case of severe post gig blues, we should be ok in a week or so....I hope. I'm not going to listen to any TT or watch any interviews on youtube (which I've been doing a LOT) for a couple of weeks after today, just so I can get back to normal. It's all very weird ?

I think I am usually so stressed nothing really takes my mind of everything, so to find something that actually DID - I want that feeling back!
I need to try hard drugs and forget about TT. Listening to R1 this morning definitely hasn't helped
