Tap anyone?

Fenella Fudge, 20 August, 2009 at 19:19 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 3

Just been reading through our local college leaflet and noticed that they do Tap classes. Seems to have sparked a bit of an interest with me, not sure why as I've never done it before and have no rhythm but guessing it would be good for toning legs plus I always wanted to try it as a child.

My H thinks I'm mad but is just glad I'm not considering salsa classes as he has visions of the class being taught by Patrick Swayze (spelling?) and doesnt like the idea of me rubbing bits with a hunk! ?

Anyway just wondered if anyone else has taken tap and what you thought about it?

Thanks for the reply bluebella. Was it quite tiring?

I really am considering it. Think it would be fun. Going to ebay tap shoes. Have tried everything once to lose weight and enjoy it!

Tap is fabulous! It is my favourite of all dance styles . I've done tap for years and years until my ankle injury 2 years ago. It is very tiring when you get good and get going but it is loads of fun! Go for it!

Oh and as for shoes, basic ones are only cheap. Go to your local dance shop and get sorted!

hey ff, no probs and it is as you say great for toning (though i need much more than just toning!)

i also bought my tap shoes off ebay, if i remember rightly, only about £15-20, so quite reasonable. when do the classes begin?
