Tattoo cover-up

NikiST, 23 March, 2011 at 16:54 Posted on Planning 0 6

Anyone ever done this? I want to cover my tattoo up.. it's on my shoulder-blade. Can anyone recommend me some products or a brand? Thanks in advance! Smiley smile

I think MAC do a brand. I'm going to use a company called takecover (saw them at a wedding show)they cover the tattoo and it lasts for 72hrs and is water resistant so you can still shower etc.

I think the MAC one may take a bit of pratice. I've never used it my sister has. Although if its for your wedding beware as it may rub off on your dress. The take cover one they apply it for you. Its not cheap though

FYI; If it was just for the photographs you wanted the touch up, then that is a pretty easy retouch for a photographer...

I'm thinking of permanently getting rid of mine at the SKIN clinic but it's expensive at about £600 minimum for a course of 6. I don't like mine anymore, got it done when I was really young and remember my Mum saying 'you won't like that when you get married' and now she's right! The Takecover company sounds really good too.

I want laser removal for my tattoo at some point when I can afford it.. I just needed to cover it up for the day. It's a tattoo from when I was young, loved it then, changed my mind now and I hate it. I'm not that person anymore. I'm sure a lot of people have been there before! ?

I still like my tattoos but just want them covered for the day.

I was very impressed with what I saw of Take Cover at the wedding show. As I said its on the expensive side but they did a demo and it doesnt rub off. Whatever you decide to use I would do a test to ensure that it won't rub off
