Love them or hate them? I love them. I'm getting a new one started this week. Started out because I wanted to cover my scars but has now managed grow into one that covers half my torso. Flash me your tattoos, or tattoos that you want.

It's mine Flowers - but I love it, and I love the colours, want to maybe try and incorporate the colour scheme into my 'We're all mad here' tattoo... Just not sure how!

I like them on some people. Is never get one though. I'm scared Id regret it.

My problem with tattoos is that they are "fashionable" and fashion changes. So what's cool now won't be in 5 years. Look at men over 40.... Most have got a British bulldog somewhere but nobody would get one now because there old fashioned now. Does that make sense?

    OH has a few n a full sleeve n it's pretty cool....( for now ? )

Horrid, especially on women. They look common, even small ones

I get that everyone is entitled to their opinions but when you post something like this on a forum where a load of women have just posted pics of their tattoos I think your comment is either looking for trouble or just plain rude as you could have expressed your views in a slightly more tactile manner.

But like I said, you're entitled to your opinion just like I'm entitled to mine.

Wow. Each to their own but coming on to a thread where lots of people have shown their own tattoos and telling them they look common isn't the best idea, don't you think? You could have just said you don't like them.

I wanted one before I was 18 as I wanted to be different, but by the time I reached 18 everyone had one, so I realised that the best way for me to be different was not to bother ?

Some of these are gorgeous - especially the watercolour tattoos. I'd love one, I always have, but I'm really squeamish and I worry I'd hate it after a while because I change my mind so much. I've been seriously thinking about getting one on my hip though, I'm just trying to decide what. I'm also not sure how to go about finding a good tattoo artist - I guess recommendations are the best way?

Funky - I haven't seen your tattoo *goes off to search old threads*

I'd love to get one. Like Mrs C I have seen a few I like on Pinterest but I'm unsure what design to get.

I have a big tattoo from my back, down my side and to the top of my thigh, I was going to be post them but they're a bit too 'naked'

Enterflora, my skin has rejected the colours white and yellow and both of have now disappeared completely but I don't know why that is. My skin is sensitive on my back but you can buy a cream called Emla to numb the area but the tattoists are wary of working with the skin as it crystallises. I'm sure that there is more science behind that than my explanation!

I don't have any tattoos and have never seriously considered any. I knew I'm too changeable with style/look that I couldn't settle on something for life. Have half thought about chemical formulae/DNA/etc but that's geeky beyond words. I quite like the long back vine things, but my back is nowhere near long enough to flatter one!

Dawn, I like your style. Don't bugger off though. If you're going to troll a thread by being massively inflammatory, at least have the bollocks to stick around and fight Smiley smile

Erm, your wedding dress would suggest otherwise!

I've seen a few chemical formula/similar tattoos, which I love in a geeky way. If I were to get one it'd probably have to be

This is perhaps why I haven't got any and probably never will!

I don't have a blanket view on tattoos. Some are absolutely gorgeous and obviously meaningful, some are badly drawn, tacky (there is never a need to have a naked lady drawn on any part of your anatomy) or just odd.

She's apologised to pugsley in the awards thread. I asked her to have the balls to come here and do it- guessing its a no.
