Ok. So I recently wrote a post about needing to plan a wedding in a week and realised that before that week I need my dress sorted so I know the feel of the day I am going for. I am currently in love with tea length dresses. It means if I dont lose weight on my tummy where all my weight sits I wont be so self-conscious, plus I love dancing and think it will be easier and fun in this dress, finally it is August and in a place with a lot of windows and no aircon. This is so more of a 'me' dress but it feels a little scary to not go with the norm (I know it's not that daring but you know what I mean). Anyone got one and fancy a cheeky flash? For those who have 1 what were your reasons and for those that had 1 are you pleased you did? Thanks xxx

    Hi ladies

Thank you for resurrecting this post Sarmar, I'm looking to wear a tea length dress as I have quite a few 1950's style dresses that suit me (hiding the tummy and giving me a waist!) so seeing everyone's dresses is great!

I haven't tried any on yet as we have only just picked the date, and wanting to lose weight before I do any dress shopping, has stopped me so far. So would love to see more, with details!

Oooh any opportunity! I was originally going for a full length lacy or chiffon with a proper train, but after tripping over every single dress I tried, I tried on a tea-length that my Mom had picked out (she's shorter than me and thought it was full length lol). I then tried on some more (wasn't a fan of Mom's pick) and then found my lovely little number - Lou Lou LB33.

Btw, I'm 5"10 so it's not just "shorter" ladies going for tea length ?

    Hi Sparkle

I didn't go with a tea length dress in the end but the dress your considering is stunning, I loved the detail on it and the waist was very flattering too.

Seeing as this thread was ressurrected just thought I'd give a quick updated. The nearest shop with that dress was 2 hours away and most tea length dresses looked awful on me. Ended up with a huge dress! Going to find a good value tea length dress to change into mid evening so I can continue dancing without getting too hot plus still get my teal length dream! I so appreciated all the input though xx
