Teachers - career help needed....

Cheeky Chops, 4 January, 2009 at 21:18 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

I have an interview for curriculum manager this week. Does anyone know what sort of questions I may be asked? I am very nervous and always go to pieces at interviews - moreso at this because its an internal interview...ahhhhh!!!!!!

I'd just make sure that you are familiar with the job specification and person specification and then you are clear about the role and responsibilties that the post carries. They also tend to ask about how you would involve/inform parents/governors and other staff of curriculum developments and of how you would support/monitor the work of other staff members. They could also ask you about how you see yourself contributing to the whole school development plan, and what you consider to be long/short term priorities in the light of the last Ofsted inspection. These are just a few ideas off the top of my head. I'm not a curriculum manager, (just a P/T teacher since having children) but have previously been on the school senior leadership team and governing body and these would have been some of the types of questions I would have have been asked myself.
