tears - all the time

SillyWrong, 30 July, 2014 at 13:52 Posted on Planning 0 25

Does anyone else do this when wedding planning, when we're planning anything wedding related, and we talk about the order of the day, or who will do or say what, i start welling up! Last night I full on cried while we were finalising our play list and we were listening to the songs as we were doing it!

I cry thinking of my own wedding, I cry thinking of other peoples weddings ... I'M A MESS!

All the time in the run up to mine! On the motorway, walking down the street etc!

Then, oddly enough, not at all on the day itself! I was too high as a kite!

Only when reading our order of service so far. I suspect it's too early for me yet. Maybe nearer the time.

    Awww you're so sweet SW!

I'm a bit of an emotional Tardis (not much outside, quite a lot inside) but I expect closer to the day I'll be like this:

I only cry if I'm on my own or the kids are in bed, but once I start I can't stop! Half the time I'm not even sure what I'm crying about!

Im one of them people who don't cry around other people and to some it seems I'm quite stern but just wait until I'm on my own jeez I'm a reck! Oh sometimes has to stand there and get me to cry by saying Liz it's ok to show emotion you have to let it out, so I will lock myself in the loo and have a good old sob!

But wedding program's get me the most! Oh and the fact I can't even read my happy speech without crying! I can't say the words for our ceremony without crying... God help me!

Yep, totally! I have literally no idea how I'm going to be able to get through the vows, every time I even think about them I have a little cry! I'm a softie anyway, but wedding stuff is definitely making me worse!

No tears from me yet. There must be some feelings in my hollow tin chest, but at the moment I am just too worried about getting it all done to be emotional!!

I well up whenever I imagine walking down the aisle or saying my vows. OH is quite emotional too, so I can imagine us both stood there blubbering away and not being able to say anything!

Thank you for letting my know that I am not the only one who is an emotional wreck. Even reading some of these discussions and seeing pictures get me emotional. My supervisors at work laugh at me when I try to explain things I want to say in my speech (I may have to rethink whether I can get through a speech).

I had a week last month when anything remotely wedding related made me cry, even the wedding videos on You've Been Framed. I am hoping that's it, but I am quite an emotional person at the best of times and dreadfully soppy, so I am sure there will be more tears to come.

We're not getting married for another 13 months so planning is pretty slow. Every Sunday though when we discuss weddingy things the tears start - without fail! I'm going to be a nervous wreck come this time next year!

Just seen this, at least I'm not the only one.

I full on sobbed in the pup the other night because my dads going to have his kilt on and walk me down the isle!
The waitress was looking at me as if I was freaking crazy. I can't help it I'm a complete wedding wreck.

So happy it's not just me. I nearly cried at my church rehearsal today when I had to tell the vicar that my dad wasn't alive and my brother will be walking me down the aisle (welling up as I type). Cried when my sister gave me a gift today, so she cried too.

    its non stop!!
