Tell her that I'm not talking to her.

Hawhaw, 7 October, 2008 at 09:13 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 14

Female 1 (S) doesn't want to be in Female 2's (C's) gang anymore.

S is looking to join a new gang.

C told another member of the gang to tell S that she isn't going to talk to her anymore, and walks out of the room when S walks in.

Pretty typical playground behaviour I'd have thought.

Except I'm S who told C, who is my boss, that I'm looking for a new job. I've give her valid reasons, I can't keep working all weekend as I have done for the past two years.

I've seen her do this with other people but it's a bit of a shock.

How utterly childish of your boss. No wonder you want to leave! Isn't there anyone you could report her to?

So she see's your leaving as a personal attack on her then? Which of course it isn't. god, she really needs to grow up.

Well, you could resort to her level and pull her pig tails when she walks past you out of the room ?

Or the serious suggestion, is that you talk to her about it. Afterall, you still have to work there until you find another job.

She owns the business and is the manager. So she's the top dog, unfortunately. I have an interview this morning, and I'm out to impress!

Tell the go-between to tell her that you're not talking to her anyway so it doesn't matter. What a fool.

How utterly pathetic of her. Sounds like you've made a good decision in leaving.

Hope the interview goes well for you.

I sympathise. When I handed my notice in to my boss last year he ignored me for over a week.....which is tricky when I was his PA!

He then went on to report me to HR for going to the leaving lunch for the most senior PA where I worked. I took my 1 hour, no more and no less. Utterly childish and ridiculous behaviour. I turned up for my exit interview and got what was in essence a disciplinary!

Let's just say his reputation still hasn't totally recovered as I had several very senior managers on my side and willing to speak to HR on my behalf. And none of the remainnig senior PAs have any goodwill left towards him.

Hope you find a new job soon!

Hope you get the job and sorry this is happening.

Funnily enough I've had the same thing this morning. One of my colleagues is not speaking to me because I dared to stand up to her and her constant griping/moaning. Apparently until I say I am sorry that's it, she won't say a word to me.

    Pathetic.

Does she use these phrases a lot?:

"I'm rubber you're glue, your words bounce off me and stick to you"

    or

"I know you are, so what am I"

Well I've had the interview, I think they'll offer me the job but I won't be accepting it. There was an overwhelming smell of urine as I walked through the door and the whole place was grubby.

    Oh well, another interview tomorrow.

Your office sounds so familiar to mine, I'm glad I'm off on holiday next week, hopefully WW3 will hold off until then
