Tesco vouchers

very excited, 25 August, 2010 at 11:30 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 23

We have more than £100 worth and so far all I have used them for is magazine subscriptions. I need inspiration.

What do you all use yours for?

RAC vouchers each year, and I've used them for restaurant vouchers once aswell.

You could double them up instore at the moment if there's something you want to buy from a certain department (don't think it can be used on normal groceries) - I did that last year when they had the offer with some of mine.

Ive only ever had them sent through once. We always go to tesco and get our shopping delivered (spend usually £60-£90) but I never seem to have points ☹️

Thanks ladies, mmm may look at using them for a few days away.

Max, have you spoken to Tesco about this? You should get them regularly if you shop there.

How do you use them for all this stuff?! I'm so dumb, I just thought you could spend them in store so I signed up for their christmas savers scheme thing. Do you have to sign up to another thing to get this stuff?

I've never really looked at the voucher swap info so generally just use them in store for money off the weekly shop. This month we did the double up thing to get O some new clothes and her weaning equipment.

I think I should really look into what we can get with them to save rather than using them as cash. I am letting a lot of money go to waste!

Shnarfy - have a lpook on the website for exchning them for vouchers http://www.tesco.com/clubcard/deals/

Max - Are you signed up for the Christmas scheme? You only get your vouchers once a year that way.

I've used them for airmiles, flew to London from Newcastle. Used them for Eurotunnel, last year.

I got 2 tickets for the London eye, but they came too late, along with some days out vouchers. We were going to use them for the zoo but again came too late so we'll have to find something else to use them on.

Eating out most definitely. Although because they have been doing the £5 for £10 thing we have just bought ourselves a garden shed.

I think they only send statements once every 6 months or something so it depends when you started? Look at other ways to save points too. For example, our gas and electricity is via E-On and we have tagged our Tesco card with the account so we get points on our electricity and gas? The other thing I do is buy my groceries on their credit card and pay it all off monthly as you get an extra 4 points for every £1 you spend that way. x

You should because they are also doing 0% for 13 months on purchases for new account holders so we primarily got it so we could buy our new TV so we could pay for it monthly rather than all in one go. I managed to get 800 points for buying the TV, another 1500 for using the credit card and I also went via Quidco to their website so got cashback as well. Was well pleased with myself ? Realised though that if I also bought all my groceries and paid that back every month (as I would buy it on my debit card anyway) I would be quids in?

I have started to convert ours to Airmiles as we are saving up for a weekend away next September (2011) for our 5th wedding anniversary and we have a voucher for #200 towards the hotel.

    xx

Just converted £15 in vouchers for Days out Tokens, you get £20 for every £5, so £60, enough for colchester zoo and Bressingham. Shame there isn't much choice, esp with the places to eat, but what a saving!

Just added up and i've got around £55 in vouchers so think i'm going to have a look at weekends away!

I get airmiles with my Shell card but have cahsed in some clubcard vouchers before for airmiles.

Last lot we exchanged for restaurant vouchers.

Have fun at the deep Sparkling, have you been before? I think i've been a couple of times, when i've been staying at my parents in Scunny.

We've been converting ours into air miles (we have lyods TSB credit card that gives us air miles). The aim was to save for a flight for next year as we knew we'd spend a lot on our wedding. I . I want to take my OH to a Formula 1 grand prix for his 30th birthday next year but I didn't realise that you have to buy return tickets with you air miles so I'm gonna to save lots more!

We use ours for holidays. We seem to get a holiday every year with them. We've done 5 nights B&B in Devon when J was tiny, and a couple of Haven/Park Resorts holidays too. Have had a few meals out and a Legoland trip on them this year as well!

We obviously spend far too much at Tesco...

    I have used mine for...

    Tussauds annual pass

    alton towers tickets

    magazine subcriptions

    childrens book collection

    my kitchen tiles

    the bbc good food show

    computer programmes

    hotel nights away

and lots more that I can't remember

You get 4 statements a year but they have snuck a couple of extra ones at christmas and easter.
