Thanks sal.san. I just knew things were going too smoothly. Just glad we've still got two weeks left to sort someone new. Fingers crossed it'll work out. Am stressing inside but trying to remain calm on the outside. Keep reminding myself that there are much worse things happening in the world. Thanks for your thoughts though. x

what is their reason for cancelling? do you not have insurance? what about their insurance?

I'm going to put this on Twitter for you and see if anyone can help. Fingers crossed that you find someone.

The email that I have just received says that they had all of their kit stolen from their home Monday night. It says that they have insurance but they can't guarantee that it will pay out in time for them to have new kit by our wedding and that they are cancelling all bookings in August and September due to this.

We're getting our money back so that's fine and no need to claim on our insurance, we just need a new tog now.

Thank you. Yes, so relieved that he said we'd get money back, email said it should arrive in next couple of days. Doesn't give us a tog but at least it gives us the funds to get a new one.

I went to school with a Beth Barnes and Stephanie Rochester who do wedding photography in the north east, both have websites if you google them. I had a quick look when i was tog hunting but didnt look into them further as i booked an old neighbour. I think neither are established (but have good portfolios online and have plenty of experience i think) so may have availability. Both lovely lasses maybe worth a try? Hope you find someone x

I can definitely recommend RSW Photography, Richard did our engagement shoot in Newcastle and was excellent so if Bec says they're free then go for it.
