Thank you presents for parents

Hunry, 10 April, 2012 at 12:02 Posted on Planning 0 8

Hi everyone

I am really struggling to think of thank you presents for our parents. Can anyone give me some inspiration? I am already planning on getting them the 'wedding day' flower, but stuck on what else. Want to try and avoid picture frames etc. Looking for something different!

Thanks

Have a look on Groupon for a meal / weekend break for after the wedding.

I am signed up to so many voucher sites, but they prefer to plan their own getaway. Plus my mum is getting her jewellery sorted before hand.

Thanks though ladies! It's a hard one!!

Posh hamper? I'm trying find something a little different too as my parents aren't really keepsake type of people and my dad is a keen photographer so does all his own photos. I might either buy a hamper with the types of foods they would like or buy them a voucher for a meal out.

How about something like a personalised bottle opener or an engraved hip flask?

Or, for the ladies, something like an engraved mirror compact?

I know you said you wanted to avoid a picture frame, but we do stock some that can also be engraved - have a look at our site see if something takes your fancy Smiley smile

Most of the items can be engraved.

We are getting the mum's a rose bush of the rose I have in my bouquet for the garden, and then we've got his parents a sketch done of their two pooches - found a lady who could copy a photo so was a complete surprise. My parents we've got lots of little gift vouchers, like for the cinema, a meal out, theatre vouchers etc. so they can go out a few times on us once they get their lives back and don't have to help us prep for a wedding!!

Howabout theatre tickets, or an annual pass to something like the National Trust?

Ooh I like the hamper idea!

We've bought a personalised Whisky glass for my dad, he loves golf - it has a golf ball in the bottom - hard to explain but he'll like it! Will also get a small bottle of nice whisky to go with!

Mum has chosen a tree to plant in their garden Smiley winking She can take it with her if they ever move then too!
