The Cambridge diet

Blackkat, 21 March, 2010 at 13:23 Posted on Beauty & Wellbeing 0 2

After not putting as much effort into my weight loss as I should have & not exercising due to my plaster cast (although I don't have this excuse) I've decided to take a more drastic approach as its only 4 months until my wedding and I really want to look my best. I've known a few people who've followed the cambridge diet previously with good results. I know its only a short term fix (I want to lose a stone & a half which should take a month & a half ish) but I'm fairly confident that I can maintain it (at least until I hopefully manage to get myself pregnant!).

Just wondered if anyone on here had done it & has any advice to give me. My sister said that initially I'll get very hungry & to keep myself busy. Any other tips to help me to reach my target?

Thanks

Hiya..iv been doing it on and off for over a year...its really tough and im now off it again! im bk on it tomorra tho lol

but i am only going to be having 2 shakes a day plus a meal at night..like a weight watchers meal with loads of veg, also im allowing myself coffee with skimmed milk and sweetner and if i fancy it a glass of diet coke...so im doin half ww and half cambridge really lol

il tell you why i am doing that tho...i have 2 young children 1 of which gos to nursery every day and when they are up at 6am i need a coffee to wake me up lol

also the meal at night is something to look forward to and actually stops you from cheating and thinkin sod it il eat that choc bar! i need some sort of energy to keep up with them and this way works..i just get too lazy really..but now iv got my dress and need to lose about a stone prob less for it to do up all the way im gettin my arse in gear!! plus i work in a bakery sat and sundy mornins so at least if im full up from the night b4 it really helps not to cheat lol

hope that half helps you...also the more water you drink the better!!!!

Thanks holls. I met with the consultant today & have my 1st week of supplies. I'm doing step 2 with 810 calories so I'll be having 3 shakes/soups & a small meal (& 1/2 pint of milk!) every day. I know that the 1st few days are gonna be hard but I have to keep focusing on my dress!!
