The Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza!!

HeavyMetalMaiden, 1 February, 2015 at 21:19 Posted on Planning 0 6

Hello!

I am BUZZING after today, after a horrible experience at a local wedding fair, I had an amazing time at this one in Birmingham. Did anyone else go there today?

Everyone I spoke to was so lovely, told us (me and BM) lots of stories and tales about their work, asked me questions about my wedding and gave lot's of advice and recommendations. EVERY SINGLE supplier was super friendly and approachable, which is miles away from those I had met at a previous wedding fair.

I introduced myself to our TOG (we had only spoken on the phone), and she just held out her arms for a massive hug, I knew she had a friendly reputation, but oh my she is just so easy to get on with and I feel at ease knowing she is a part of our special day. Smiley laugh

I spoke to a lovely celebrant about a hand fasting, and she was just wonderful, I knew I wanted her to marry us there and then (and after telling OH all about her he was happy). I also spoke to a DJ too, and again, I felt at ease and we were on the same page regarding tunes Smiley smile Prices quoted too me were *slightly* over budget, however, we have saved bags of money with this new venue change, so I think it can be done.

So may pretty things and ideas, and the wedding dresses on show were so beautiful! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Anyone in London, I highly recommend you pop down there on the 1st March for round 2 Smiley smile

I'm so pleased to hear you had a lovely time ?

I've always found the same with traditional wedding fairs, i've hated them all. Do you remember offhand if there was anyone there offering suits? I think that's the only thing left that we need to get, so would be a good excuse to pop in for a nosey!

    Thanks!

That is actually my only one criticism about the EWE, that there wasn't anything regarding men's attire, which was a big shame Smiley sad

However, check their website as the London one has a few different suppliers than Brum, so you never know!

Wish I had known they do those sorts of wedding fairs, I hate normal wedding fairs and have only been to one! Probably a bit too late for me now, plus I'm uup north and nowhere near Birmingham/London
