18th August at 2-30pm. Exactly 3 months after my aunts.

I went over to see mum and SIL today and ended up going to the funeral directors with SIL and my other brother. Made all the arrangements then i found a leaftlet about 'colourful coffins' so we have ordered one for Michael like which is made to look like a cricket scene - is made out of recycled cardboard - and was the cheapest option ? which would have pleased him.

will be glad when it is all over tho.

The coffin sounds like it suits him perfectly. If you like cricket (and being thrifty), it's a good way to go! ?

Take care of yourself, won't you? The funeral is quite a while away so please go easy on yourself.

SIL was really pleased that i spotted it - she reckons he would have loved a 'show off' coffin that would make everyone look and hopefully raise a few smiles...

she is really into recycling so was muttering about a cardboard coffin so was chuffed when i pointed it out as an option.

I told her that Michael would most likely want her to spend the money saved on shoes or bags or pretty things. So I expect she will.

just spoke to mum and she said that SIL mentioned a few times last night how she was pleased that i had spotted the leaflet about the colourful coffins as they were just right for what she wanted.... so i am glad that I went with her and found it to shove under her nose.

just another 11 days to get thru now
