I hate bridal tiaras. I think they're ott, I think they're unnecessary, I think they're a waste of money. Or at least, I used to. Then I went to the nicest bridal boutique in Toronto, and the woman just went ahead and put a gorgeous headpiece on me. Jenny Packham's poppy ii. It was so different! It wasn't really a tiara, but more of a face framing jewel of awesome.
But then, my sister made a point of looking at the price. $700?! How outrageous! It was gorgeous, to be sure, but there were bits of it was unsure of, and I didn't know if massive crystals were really my thing. So I put it out of my mind, until...
I got a voucher for a discount from a lovely hitched supplier, through facebook, and suddenly I remembered that tiara. I asked her if she could possibly make me something like it, but that I had also liked one of her prize give always that week, and could she combine the two for me? Well, did she ever! I don't even have it in hand yet, but she posted photos on Facebook and I swear to god I am in LOVE with this thing. Do you know how difficult it will be to keep it in a box until June? Argh!
Anyways, here are her photos of it:
