The National Wedding Show

tinkissarah, 29 January, 2011 at 16:59 Posted on Planning 0 8

Is anyone going to the Wedding Show in London or Birmingham? I tried to get OH to go to the last one in October but he thought we should wait with our wedding not being until 2012.

Has anybody been before? Is it worth a day trip?

London is 18th-20th February and Birmingham 4th-6th March in case anybody wanted to know.

I'll be there on the 20th with my Daughters.

I go twice a year & really enjoy them, there are lots of Exhibitors & for a first timer lots to see & do.

I'll be going to the Birmingham one if I decide to go. Was talking to my OH, my MOH and her husband when we were at their house last night and I mentioned it and OH and MOH's husband though it was something I should do with my Mum & MOH and OH doesn't really need to go. Who are you going with? I can kind of see OH's point of view because he hates shopping at the best of times and can imagine he'd get very bored and annoyed haha.

I went in october last year.

It was good, especially for ideas (and the freebies!) but found most of the suppliers didnt strech as far as the west country so was no good for me really. (or as far as 2013 either! lol)

going to stick to local wedding shows from now on.

my fav part was watching other people try on dresses, none took my fancy but i loved watching everyone else!

I wouldnt take my OH cause he'd keep moaning all day. I went with my SIL and Mum a few years ago when my brother was getting married and it's a proper girly day out.

We're going on the Sunday to the London one and I'm taking Mum, SIL and maybe my Auntie and her friend. Really looking forward to it!

    Hey

Im definitely not taking OH, think he would drive me mad as he would be bored!!

My Mum didn't really want to go as it'd be too long a day and she needs to sit down lots of times! ha

So in the end its just me and my best friend ( CBM)

Think we'll make a good day of it, i think the more people that go the more you have to please everybody! ?

Yeh I think I'll end up doing the same with my best friend if she's not working. I think they do it again in October so if she is we'll probably go in October.

I went to Birmingham last October with my 3 bridesmaids and we had a lovely, girly day out. I'm going again in March but taking OH as we're at the stage of wanting to book a few things that might be there.

Just wish it wasn't so expensive (and the parking!)
