From my ticker you can see its just under a year until our big day, my partner says that there is no point him having an expensive ring as he is a mechanic and it would get ruined. thing is he is a decent looking chap and if he doesnt wear a ring then surly other women will come on to him???

Can you not get him a cheaper ring, that way he can still wear it?

My OH is a heating engineer, and he wears a ring on his wedding finger atm, and it doesn't realy get ruined.

Does he want to wear a ring?

Have you searched for rings, that aren't gold/platinum, because you can get them for as little as £20?

Surely you trust him enough that he wouldn't stray?

Princess Jen......please could you reveal your age as I feel this could be helpful to the rest of us.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I suspect that you may be a youngish bride to be. If so, it would be really helpful to know this.

OH is getting a titanium ring which is hardwearing so he can wear it while he's at work (he's a builder among other things) and it hasn't cost us that much.

Plus he said it may be that he only wears it for out of hours...so, when he isn't working which could be an option for your H2B

My OH is having the same as Tahdah's - we work together so I can make sure he wears it ?

Try not to stress about all of the little details and who cares if another woman comes onto him - afterall it is you he is marrying and you that he loves!

Hello P*J...i havent responded to your other posts cos everyone has said what needs to be said.

Re the ring, believe me if another woman is interested it would not take a wedding ring to stop her talking to him!...at the end of the day its about trust, your oh loves you if not he wouldnt be marrying you and you should feel secure enough that even if a woman did show interest he wouldnt bat an eyelid because he loves you!...my oh is tall, dark and handsome and other women always look at him, however i also know that im the only woman for him and i trust him totally and he makes me feel secure enough that if he didnt want to wear a ring i wouldnt force him to do so.

The titanium is a god idea. Mega hardwearing. I may suggest this to my OH actually!

2 kids must keep you busy! I know you said before, but I think they're similar in age to my 2. They're 5 and 1.

We bought my H2Bs ring yesterday- it's made of Tungsten Carbide. Very very strong, doesn't scratch and only £35 Smiley smile

I would say to go for something hardwearing or something not too expensive, that way if it gets damaged you can easily replace it.

As for other women coming on to him I wouldn't worry too much. As long as you trust him that's the main thing surely?

My H2b, is a joiner by trade and is now manager on the building site. He will be wearing his out of hours. Just incase, not that it gets damaged but in case it gets caught and causes and accident.

Hi, my H2B is also a mechanic, he has agreed to have a ring but says he won't wear it as it is dangerous at work, I don't know if he will wear it at home??, I think some women come on more to men with rings!!, don't worry.
