The Sanctuary Covent Garden

It's heaven. I'd go every week if I could. Check the website though; they had a fire recently and I'm not sure when the reopening date is.

WMS. Love love love it. Shame to hear about the fire. My mum keeps reminding me that last year's birthday present was a day there with her, but we've done nothing about it yet.

Had a great day there with my friend a few years ago. It is pricey but the treatments & surroundings were fab.

Sorry to hear about the fire. It's so strange to walk in a shop front & then find all those rooms, pool & beautiful surroundings.

I love the Sanctuary, it's huuuge with loads of different sauna/pool/spa things - so even if you only go for one treatment you can still make a day out of it.

It reopens on March 16th

It's wonderful. I hadn't heard about a fire either , that's a real shame. I was just there before christmas with my mum and I was asleep on a big squishy chair by 3pm!

I've been a few times a year for the past 2 years thanks to a lovely boss and it is lovely - very relaxing, peaceful etc. but we had to send a pretty strongly worded complaint email after our last trip. We had gone on a pretty quiet day and there were plenty of staff around yet the service was awful - for example, we waited 40 minutes for 2 hot drinks in the lounge, lunch service was poor and despite having lunch at 1.30pm half of the menu was unavailable, toilets were dirty etc. I also thought a few areas were in need of refreshing and repair - it isn't a cheap day out and the decor was starting to look tired (the photos on the website are very cleverly done!). I hadn't heard about a fire but as awful as it sounds it has hopefully brought forward some needed changes.

We usually go for a Sanctuary Escape package and I tend to have a soothing la sultane head, neck & face massage, aromatherapy full body massage and then add in an exfoliating salt scrub - I kept meaning to try the floatation but seeing as we're so quiet at work I think it'll be some time before I get to try it!
