I broke my arm in the snow. Feeding the chickens. I waited 6 hours on my own in A&E surrounded by other broken limbed types...

2 years ago got hit by a bus and fractured my neck

Last year slipped and whacked my head on the pavement and knocked my self out, nasty graze on my arm and ripped my new jeans Smiley sad

Not leaving the house if it snows this year

Went outside to feed the chooks and slipped on some ice, fell and landed badly on my hand- broke my arm at the elbow.

Whats better was I was home alone. wasnt sure what to do for the best so drove to work (about 10 miles) in the snow- promptly got there, cried and then was shipped off to A&E. Got to love what shock will do for you!

Hate it, hate it, hate it!

I hate driving it, even more so if it freezes and the roads become an ice rink.

The children play out, everything gets wet and slushy muck gets trampled through the kitchen. Muggins here gets to clean it all up.

    And, I hate being cold.

Hate the stuff. Lovely to look at when it's all crisp and white, but horrible other than that. Everyone at school prays for snow days but I'm desparately trying to get coursework finished and my year 12s have their exam earlier this year so I really cannot afford to miss lessons. I walk like an idiot when it snows.

Has anyone got snow yet? Our forecast says it will start at dusk but according to the Highways Agency map there's none for miles around. We cancelled plans to have our grandson for the weekend so I'll be cross if it doesn't!

I am stuck! All dressed up and can't get out my flat ? The road has completely disappeared.

Every taxi firm in area told me no. To make matters worse OH is away in York and we have no food in!

I live in Leeds. But in the outskirts so between Leeds and Bradford. The tree lined road opposite a wood seemed a fantastic idea at the time. Not so much now.

I'm in the camp of hating snow, my mum was in a mini that got crashed into by a landrover and she had her leg in pot for 6 months. #Also, i'm so clumsy that it's hard emough to walk across a nice flat pavement without there being deadly snow on it.

Also .... my other half has seen that it's a blizzard outside and has been asleep on the settee all evening, at 8pm he suddenly decides that he wants a battered sausage from the chippie, and gets dressed up to walk a mile to the chippie!?!?! lol x

I'm fed up with the snow now .. Derby V Forest has been called off and will no doubt be put back to a Tuesday o Wednesday night match! I know that the match is the biggest local deby for both teams, but I wish they could have played it yesterday.

    GRRRRR to snow!

I had new Kurt Geiger shoes and had dyed my hair done it all nice. I even teamed my LBD with my Jimmy Choo wellies perfectly. On reflection it was for the best as even if I got out no guarantee I would get home without having to hike alone in the early hours.

Just hope OH gets back today. He has a pair of pumps and a light jacket on as when he left yesterday it was fine. Might have to walk to the main road with a decent pair of shoes so save his toes.
