Hiya, how about a party where everyone comes dressed as something begining with the first letter of the hosts name?

my cousin did this for her 21st and we all had to go as something begining with A.

    hope this makes sense

The latest Halloween party we went to was 'Heroes & Villains' some of the costumes were terrific. I dont have much imagination for this kind of thing, but another theme we had in the past was 'Movie Stars' etc. Sorry I cant be much help...!!

I like the idea of dressing up as something beginning with the letter of the hosts name though, thats quite original.

We once had a beach party theme in the middle of December. Nothing quite so cheery as a bunch of people in sarongs and Hawaiian shirts in midwinter. ? Lots of inflatable beach balls, dolphins, rubber rings etc. Life size palm trees painted on rolls of lining paper and stuck on the walls, deckchairs everywhere.

We recently had a worst dressed party! That was great fun! Hours of fun trekking around charity shops and tacky market stalls! Smiley smile

We had parties where everyone had to go as an inanimate object, a cartoon character, a television programme . Oh and a character from a book (inspired by someones little sister being Alice in Wonderland for World Book Day), a city/country, there were loads. We obviously had too much time on our hands when I was a student ?

I've been to a party themed as 'yellow'! People went as bananas (always a giggle!), bumble bees, sunshine, flowers - people can get very creative doing it!

Our work Christmas party is fancy dress. We've chosen rock stars & rap stars, but other themes were sports stars, 'green', what did you want to be when you grew up? and come as your favourite Director (of our company) ?

For other parties we've done cartoon characters, 80s, fairytales, what were you doing when the ship went down?, and what were you wearing when you got the party invite?

it doesn't have to be a person, just anything begining with the letter j, you could go as a jam jar, a jumper, a joystick, jelly, a jigsaw, jenga, you get the idea

At my cousin's 30th you had to dress as something related to either P or L - his initials. His wife ended up going as Lanhydrock Road! Sandwich board type thing over her shoulders, with the road layout painted on and little cardboard houses, trees, etc stuck to it. Quite bizarre but lots of fun.
