These sites that show previous property prices - why are some missing?

sherry, 11 March, 2009 at 13:44 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 1

The house I share with my OH was purchased in 2004 and it doesnt show up on several sites i've looked at.

We viewed a property today and the lady bought it 5 years ago again it doesn't show up on any site that i've seen. I know you can buy the info for £3 but didn't really want to buy it if I could get it free on the internet.

Is there reason for it?

I know that some of the sites (possibly all) get their info from the Land Registry. Sometimes the person entering the sale on the Land Regisrty system doesn't enter the sale price, so they can't get hold of it.

It might just be that simple.

    Have you tried Zoopla?

You can enter the details which you know about the house and it will give you an estimate of the current value which is surprisingly accurate.
