    Well, God loves a trier.

My dad was once briefly interned for having long hair though. On the day I was due to be born.

MrPod has arrested a man for being in a possesion of a knife(knives) who claimed to be a chef on his way home from work. He was indeed a chef on his way home from work.

What was Russel B doing up there? I know he looks like a soap dodger.

I'm fretting, I don't know where MrP is going to be working today otherthan up there somewhere.

Poor you POD must be worrying. I think I'm glad Mr G works in Guernsey where it's fairly quiet! He's off to Alderney for 4 days at the weekend which is even quieter!

I am always worried about Mr R getting arrested on the (rare) occasions he is travelling to/from work on public transport. ?

    Hope MrP is OK ?

I'm sitting in my office listening to the chanting outside. I'm about 50 yards from the RBS branch they've trashed and the Bank of England. And it does smell like the great unwashed out there too. Some of them have brought their toddlers with them. ?

Think I'll go home soon because the atmosphere is definitely turning nasty.

Absolutely zero happening here (now the tank has gone). RBS HQ is crawling with police and journos. Further down Liverpool Street there is a protest going on, but a happy vibe. Went for a wander down there and there is dancing and tents and dodgy socialist rappers and men dressed as lions...as you do.

Only problem I can see there is the fact that there are people protesting about anything and everything all muddlied in together, if 1 group gets the hump with another group then it could kick off. Could also be a problem later on when groups of young lads decend on the city to watch the football.

The problem could be if this lot here move towards Liverpool Street. There is definitely no happy vibe here!! They've started throwing things and it is looking like a Mexican standoff at the moment. The police are stopping them from moving.

They're throwing things out of the windows of the RBS branch they've trashed now. Office equipment and things. I actually find this all quite sad.

I think it's quite sad too. It's just a regular branch of the bank isn't it, not the headquarters? So the people who have had their stuff trashed will just be branch workers - as if the situation is their fault.

I agree it's sad ☹️ it's got a horrible whiff of inevitable problems, I wish that it could just be a 'fun day' of innocent protest but it seems unlikely <voice of doom> I'm such a fluffy but I feel sorry for the pensioners who probably just want to make their point.

I'm nr Bank and have got used to the sound of the helicopters now but it was v distracting earlier. I can't see anything v useful about updates on the web and we aren't allowed out of our building so from the quieter noise levels I'm sort of assuming it's calm out there? Does anyone know?

I once had to get an injunction against a man who walked into his local neighbourhood housing office, held a knife to the throat of the employee behind the counter and then said 'I'm not threatening you' a position he maintained at the subsequent court hearing!
