Things that have disappointed you...

Blonde Viki, 22 April, 2012 at 10:19 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 18

What products/services/places have disappointed you? Anything, for any reason!

I'll start...

Max Factor Lash Architect 4D mascara - very dry, hard to apply and leaves my lashes very clumpy (particularly at each corner of my eye).

Alpro Soy Milk - Hazelnut flavour - only has a really faint aftertaste of hazelnuts Smiley sad

    Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume.

It smells absolutely vile and I now use it as a posh (and very expensive) air freshner in my bathroom.

Quilted loo roll, it's not the super soft lushness I imagined it to be.

Mabelline "cat eyes" mascara. Its rubbish.

Chocolate Philadelphia- tastes like cheapo choc spread to me.

The London Eye - just a big wheel that goes reaallly slowly.

I'll second the London eye. Crap.

I paid 12 quid for this mojito mix the other day, you supposedly just put the bag in the freezer then it has a tap on the front, you know like those boxes of wine you used to take to parties when you were a student? And then you have a frozen cocktail. Lovely. Well H's sister had raved on it so I bought it from Home bargains. Waited 8 hours for it to get slushy. I was expecting to be taken back to Mexico and our honeymoon, it.was.VILE. Sugary, syrupy, bleugh, I just cut the top off the bag and poured it all down the loo. Fuming.

Japanese tepanyaki show cooking- went for my birthday. Basically its just chinese with less flavour but they pour sh*t loads of oil all over it to make it go on fire. Not impressed.

Last Wednesday I went to the local village bakery near my office. I got a croissant and a gingerbread man. The croissant was rock hard. The gingerbread man was doughy and lacked any ginger flavour whatsoever.

Won't be going back there anytime soon!

One of my pet peeves is disappointing cake!

This reminds me of another of mine:

Starbucks almond croissants - they are just normal croissants with sugar and almond flakes on the outside, they have none of the lovely almond goo in the middle Smiley sad

*Makes a note to avoid the almond croissants*

Starbucks fairtrade chocolate brownie is also rubbish IMO. Last time I had one I couldn't finish it, it was that bad. Problem is as long as it was there on my desk I had to keep picking at it. Perpetual disappointment.

Ah speaking of phones. I am v embarassed to admit this. Right I have still got an old fashioned sony button phone so 2 weeks ago I bit the bullet and ordered a HTC wildfire (I'm on pay as you go) I have put my sim in it once, for an hour, got really cross with the touch screen shennanigans and put the sim back in my old phone now the new one is just looking at me. H keeps asking me if I've "practised" again, and I say yes... seriously, how do you people operate these touch screens??? I feel like a right cack handed tw@t!! I am too proud to take it back but it was £180... Will practise make perfect?

YSL Volume Effet Faux Cils Mascara. At £23 a tube, going clumpy on the first use, I wrote and complained.

YSL Perfect Touch Radiant Brush Foundation. Goes on like Pan Stick.

Not a fan of YSL products.

All DIY hair dye kits I've ever used. Even the expensive permanent ones fade within a couple of weeks. Getting my hair dyed properly at a salon would probably produce better results but I never have the time to go and get it done.
