Things which are better in the fantasy than in the life

1. Pervy sex. Rarely, if ever, as good as you imagined 2. Wallpaper stripping. Seems like a good idea. Isn't. It's a bloody Pandora's Box. That is all.

    Having your own business.

No sick pay, no holiday pay, the organisational nightmare of TAKING a holiday, having to deal with the problems of all your staff as well as your own, being responsible for every little thing. And everyone assuming you are loaded and not quite graspiong that you aren't and thinking you are just tight.

Your own boss? No. Your customers are your boss so now instead of one boss you have hundreds of the demanding feckers.

Plan your own time/work when you want to? Arse. Work 24/7 and still wonder why you can't get everything done.

Dolls and their houses. i always found them hideously disappointing in real life. i wanted to enact a normal day, and getting them through the doors was awkward, they wouldn't sit down properly, they had no bathroom at all (presumably ok as they had no food) and i always wanted some trees around the house.

the sims - satisfying temporarily, then you have a worrying "is this it?" feeling that makes you wonder about the purpose of life. and you can't mod the houses enough for my liking.

cheap ice cream/chocolates/sweets - i imagine it will be fantastic, but am then almost astounded to find it is ***. every time.

hate to say it, but a night out with particular friends. the problem is they just want to stand there in noisy clubs looking around. no dancing, no talking, no decent drinks. it's hard to keep up enthusiasm about a long night standing up in high heels. i would rather spend the night eating and drinking slowly in the restaurant, but perhaps that says more about me than i might like...

Sad Love songs or any songs with meaning

You listened to them and understood and lived through them, then life becomes life and the words mean the same, but you are old and married and they will never impact you the same again.

( I am not sure if this will make sense to anyone else)

Owning a cat - the clever exploring funbag turned into a puddle of fur-shedding lap-neediness ?

(She's not big enough to make a muff out of so I'm now considering emigration to escape from her?)
