Harry Potter (derivative and facile nonsense)

    Any vampire "literature" (grow up)

    Soap operas (so dreary)

Real life TV programmes like Big Brother, TOWIE, etc (docudrama is fine, hospitals and such)

    Talent TV (misnomer)

Uggs (the clue is in the name)

Leggings with dresses over them (best way to make your legs look short)

Any of those clean-cut young Hollywood "hunks" (Channing Potato, Zack Efron and co, boring boring boring).

Take That or Robbie Williams (Robbie Williams is really quite high on my facepunch list)

Pretty much any boy band or girl band

Quilted handbags, especially designer ones that still look, to my untrained eye, like they came from a market stall

    Tea

    After Eights

    I hate Family Guy, sorry.

    Fake nails/fake tans.

    Dip dyed hair.

50 shades of grey, really badly written.

Miley Cyrus, she's gone a bit mental.

The 'live laugh love' and 'love the life you live, live the life you love' tattoos everyone seems to have.

    X Factor etc.

I don't see the appeal of them Pandora bracelets.

    Also not an ugg fan.

There's probably loads more but my mind has gone blank.

There is quite a lot of skill involved and a high level of physical fitness. The best example is M Schumacher who choose to join Ferrari when they were a very poorly performing team. He joined them and as a team they gradually improved. His skill allowed them to move up the rankings and feed back to improve the car.

Consider your own driving - if you drove round a track, you would personally achieve a certain time, with training it would improve your time. You have to make split second decisions, considering those around you as well.

Not sure if that makes sense or not?

Personally would love to do it, but don't enjoy watching it as much?

It does make sense, but I guess my question is is there much variation between the cars in a race? Surely whoever has the best car is more likely to win? I doubt Michael Schumacher would win in my Vauxhall Corsa, no matter how skilled he is!

Well he was beating others in a much poorer car at one stage. I guess you haven't watched Top Gear? (I am basing that on the dislike fo motor racing, although it sounds like a patronising question, it is a geuine question!) If you haven't you won't have seen a feature they have called 'Star in a reasonable priced car'. It is where they get various 'famous' people to drive the same car a round a track. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz did it in a very shot time but both had professional training in driving. Terry Wogan did it in about 3 minutes (compared to their 1 min and a bit times). Whereas the professional racing drivers were getting around the track in under a minute.

Your Vauxhall Corsa alas wouldn't have the acceleration and shaping for it to be a fair compariosn but if it was him against someone else in the same VC, he would be more likely to win. Most of the drivers started as children doing go-karting and progressing jsut as most at the pinacle of any career have usually started young and practised and practised.

I agree with loads that have been mentioned already, I will add-

Noisy exhausts/'pimped' cars/'sexy babe on board' etc signs - does anyone actually like them?

Kindles/e-readers (don't hate them just don't really like them)

Adults eating lollypops (I.e chuppachups ones) gives me the creeps a bit.

    Peanut Butter- *vom*

I am not very good at this!

I could write a long list, but they would all be overshadowed by the big one- mayonnaise, which I hate so much I am bordering on phobic about it.

Can't quote on my phone but thanks for answering P, that definitely makes sense. That also answers my next question as to how someone would actually get into motor racing professionally!

    - Friends (the TV show). H's sister keeps quoting from it and going into peals of laughter. Utter twaddle.

    - The Inbetweeners - I sat through a whole episode and only smiled when the credits rolled and I think that was with relief.

    - The Beatles

    - Formula One & Golf - how the feck are they spectator sports?

    - Oreo biscuits - just repulsive.

    I'm sure there's more!

Agree with mayonnaise! If there are so many of us out there why do shops always insist on putting it in their sandwiches?

Hate coffee and tea and so does my OH. My friend actually bought a box of tea to leave at mine because we never have it in the house.

MacDonald's and all other similar fast food restaurants

    Breaking Bad

Fake tan/nails/hair and platform shoes - haven't bought a pair of new heels for years because can't find any I could stand in, lol. (Saving for a wedding may have contributed to this too though)?

    Totally these, Funky.

especially Thorntons. Cheap chocolate which taste crap, but they charge more for. Thorntons used to be nice, but since it has become an everyday everyone choc it's cr@p!

    Lee Evans is poo.

Ive never ever watched Star Wars. I've tried, but failed. I enjoy Lego Star Wars and Angry Birds Star Wars, but not the films.

James Bond is the same. *yawn*
