Think I'm going to go to hell....

Marmite27, 16 November, 2013 at 22:33 Posted on Off Topic Posts 0 62

Is it just me that looks at the photos that appear on my facebook and think 'god you have an ugly child...'

Yep told you, I'm going to hell!

I think my new medication is bringing out a brutally honest/stropy side of me today :/

I once told a mother of a new born child that her baby had the head of an alien.

So save me the seat next to you in hell Smiley winking

I lost a dozen friends on Facebook in one sitting by writing a status about people looking rough. I wasn't even referring to anyone on my facebook, I'd been logged on to OH's and picture of his ex had appeared on the news feed. Not my fault they were paranoid.

If you're going to hell then my OH definitely is. A few years ago is sent him a scan picture of my 12 week old brother in utero and he thought he was a poo.... Claimed he had never seen a scan before and that it was a genuine mistake... Really....

Save me a seat in hell ladies! I see so many people going on how about their "beautiful child" when really they look like they fell out the ugly tree!

Now I love kids but god some of the ones I've seen are blimmin' unfortunate!

    I'll see you there.

I went to my ex's friends birthday, and a young girl got up to sing. In my drunken state, I loudly declared that "this kid is absolute sh!t", her mother was standing nearby. whoops!

I can't stand watching kids perform. Sitting through C's school plays is a nightmare, apart from the 1 minute he is on stage.

Hope I have a seat reserved too ?
I actually get very annoyed by little people and always have done, unless they're nice and well behaved they get on my nerves, I hate loud bouncy get in your face ones and I pretend I have the patience haha.

There's a woman on my fb who constantly refers to her "beautiful girls" and has said they're the most beautiful girls in the world and she's ever seen and I sit like..she must be joking ? Sounds awful but they're the most awful looking kids I've seen..ever. I feel awful as they're only kiddies but if they were older and I saw them walking down the high street i'd be thinking ffs put a mask on. I'd actually post a pic if I knew they weren't known ? Lets just say the mother is the DOUBLE of this guy if he had long curly hair.....

I have one facebook friend (not that close IRL) who repeatedly posts pictures of "our little princess," who is now ~2. The kid is quite cute, but I can't help wondering how horribly spoilt brattish she must be after being treated like a "princess" all her life.

Some of my friends have kind of weird-looking kids but that's hardly the end of the world!

I will join you all! I have to go to my nieces dance show every year and it is also dire. It lasts for about 4 hours (no joke) and they are on for about 10 minutes of that. The parents who sit around us are ahhing but the children are absolutely awful. There's about 20 of them on stage at any one time free-styling away with no sense of timing at all.

The only saving grace is that there is no singing. Children singing is like fingernails down a blackboard ?

I thought that of my friends child but the child really grew into the features and now looks cute as a button

babies always look odd, I look at photos of my son as a baby and think 'wow, he doesn't even look like himself' he became gorgeous at about 6 months other wise he was just your typical baby really (not ugly but cute in the way most babies are cute)

Was at FMIL's yesterday and she was watching children in need. When the Gary Barlow song came on with all the kids singing (trying) I said I hate children singing, OH and FMIL both looked at me like I'd committed murder. Glad to read this thread and know I'm not alone!

I have to disagree slightly, my eldest son looked absolutely perfect the second he was born (unfortunately now he is starting to resembled his father more and more each day which makes me think he is slightly less than beautiful), midwives, hospital porters etc all commented on how stunning he was. I think they were just shocked after seeing his dad who, without a word of a lie, could pass for Herman Munster. My youngest, however, took me a while to get used to. People kept saying how lovely he was and all I could think was "liar!". My second one I looked at and thought "yeah, you're cute, but not nearly as cute as your brother was". Now though, I'd say he's probably one of the cutest kids I know. Mummies don't have favourites of course, but some things in life are just more aesthetically pleasing than others.

I have a photo of my eldest, given to me by his nurses, where they have taken his breathing tubes off. I cried when I saw it, and thought he looked like an extra from Planet of the apes, as the tubes had left marks all over his face.

My youngest was quite big (9lb 9oz), and so came out looking very squished. I called my Mum, and said "he has a face only a mother could love. He's ugly"

Luckily, both my boys turned into little beauties, but were ugly babies. I felt so bad about thinking they were ugly, haha

Some babies are definitely less attractive than others. My next door neighbour is in her 60s, and she told me that one of hers was really ugly and she used to take her out in the pram face down so that people couldn't see her!

Love this thread! Matthewsmummy you just made me spit my tea out laughing at the pictures & the description Smiley winking

I definitely think there are pretty babies and not-so-pretty babies, but they are all cute. My friends' baby was so perfect, she was like a little doll. My cousin has just had a wee girl who looks so much like her dad most people ask what "his" name is even though she is dressed in pink!

Anyway, bagsy me a seat in hell. We were visiting friends last week and their wee girl was having a tantrum because her hat fell on the floor on the way out to lunch, and all I could think was "FFS I'm hungry can we just leave her behind?" ?

I generally find all babies cute but there is one woman on Facebook who always post OTT pictures of her wee girl in tutus, hair bands, massive dresses etc and says "most gorgeous girl ever, best looking baby, gorgeous girl" etc. she's only 6 months old. The poor kid looks awful poor thing.

And I have one friend who will literally post twenty pictures almost exactly the same (eating, sitting, something in mouth etc) on Facebook about three times a day. Complete overkill! I had to hide the posts I was so fed up of them.

I always think that about kids. Babies are cute, then the cuteness diminishes the older they get.

I can't talk though, I post 100's of cat pictures a day with captions such as 'my handsome boy' people probably think these things about me.

Haha Mini. So many of my facebook friends post cat or dog pictures and it drives me potty. I've never had pets though so I just can't relate.

My 2 nephews were honestly gorgeous babies and are both still beautiful now. My friend's daughter was a seriously ugly baby but quite cute now at 18 months. Shame she's a bit of a brat though as this takes away her cuteness in my eyes.

I don't mind scores of baby pictures on fb, only because I, like Mini, post lots of picture of my dog, which I'm sure folk are sick of seeing. I can't stand the 'he peed in the potty twice today. Etc. and one to many of those gets you deleted!
