Is it just me that looks at the photos that appear on my facebook and think 'god you have an ugly child...' Yep told you, I'm going to hell! I think my new medication is bringing out a brutally honest/stropy side of me today :/

I will see you all there. I would rather see a pet picture than a child picture. To me all babies look the same and most children are not cute. Luckily I've always been 'busy' when it comes to play, dance shows etc. They are just far too horrible to sit through. I usually find an excuse to leave childrens parties early also. OH has four nieces and nephews and I really dislike their parties. The nieces and nephews are fine in small doses but it's children en masse I cannot cope with. I guess if I ever have any I'll have to hope I like my own!

I don't get invited to children's parties, thank god. My friend's know what my answer would be! The first two family babies are due in Jan and March. I suppose I'll have to go to those but Aunty ATB will be in the corner with the wine..... the dancing shows etc. I'll buy tickets for to support their club or whatever, on the condition I don't have to go.

Save me a seat in hell, also! I'd much rather see photos or read about people's pets than their children. I dread the invite to H's 4-yr old niece's birthday party, hell on earth and seems to last forever.

Ha Mini, I do that too. The difference is I showed H one of your Harry and said "how cute is he?" I would never do that with a baby!!

I could look at pet pictures all day!

I only wish there was wine. Might make it slightly more bearable! I have now said that I'll do the first party as it's more for the adults anyway but as soon as they have freinds there etc. they don't want/need their Aunty. So luckily I think I'm done as the youngest is nearly 2. I don't mind supporting/donating money but I would rather remove my finger nails with pliers than sit through a childrens play etc.

I quite like going to the christingle service at our old school with my brother, but only because we put bets on which child is going to set themselves on fire first...

Plus there's the added bonus of pointing out all the places I dropped him in the church when I was Mary the year he was born and I persuaded the vicar he'd make a good jesus! aah memories Smiley smile

Haha..i'm guilty of posting loads of pics of both M and our pets ? Love seeing pet pics and love seeing kiddies with children, the bond they can have together is amazing Smiley smile I don't mind seeing loads of pet pics as i'm such an animal lover haha.

Theres a woman on my friends who posts 3 pics a day of her baby without fail, and it's of her different breakfasts..so she'll have "Mondays brekkie is squashed banana.." and have a pic of her eating the banana, and same for lunch and dinner. She hasn't missed a day yet since she started it months ago haha, i'd like to think i'm not that bad ?

Back when we first started going out my OH went to a BBQ with his friends. There was a girl there who was taking about a recent bad experience she'd had something along the lines of a bad break up, once she finished my OH goes 'suck it up soldier!'

In his defence he is usually lovely, I think he was pretty inebriated at the time.

My nephew had a birthday party a few weeks ago at my Mum's house. There were only 4 kids there (all of them are my nieces/nephews) but I'd had enough after about an hour. I said to Dad 'If Christmas is like this, then I'm not coming'. Scrooge!

I'd rather see pet photos. I really get annoyed when people post photos of their little prince or princess every minute of the day. Oh and dont get my started on people who post selfies of them and their partner kissing/hugging/flaunting how in love they are.

Herein lies the diffirence between parents and non parents!

no one is doubting that watching your own children is magical, it's being forced to enjoy it get peoples that's the issue.

Before I was a Mum, my best friend always made the assumption that I wasn't interested in her kids parties etc when really I loved being there and if ever I didn't get an invite, I would get really sneeped (slang for being upset by an action despite knowing it was not intended to upset me).

We haven't got kids but we get invited to our nieces and nephews parties, that's not weird is it?

I don't mind going to them if I'm honest, yes they are noisy but all the kids are having a great time. I would have to draw the line at nativity plays and stuff though but saying that if it was the choice between them not having anyone there and me going instead then I'd probably go, but I'm a good auntie!

I just don't like pictures of other people's ugly kids on my facebook feed!

Is it wrong (as an Atheist) that I would be very excited to see my daughter in a nativity play?

Im very surprised the amount of people that think their kids aren't beautiful - I though all mothers are programed with baby beer goggles (funny its the parents with the painfully ugly children that usually do the 'my beautiful pretty, pretty princess' thing)

im the opposite, recently ive found myself saying thing I shouldnt to my son ☹️ main one is:

'its a good job your incredibly pretty so you dont have to be smart' ?

in his defense hes not actually stupid hes just ridiculously lazy (so will say he doesn't know how to do something to try and guilt people into doing it for him) and he pretends to do stupid things for attention (like putting his clothes on back to front when he can actually dress himself fine ?)

I don't mind pictures of kids, so long as they're not taking a dump on the potty (one of my FB actually posted such a picture and his daughter was giving it the old thumbs up). I do hate people who share those pictures of rainbows which say how perfect children are at all times and that they must definitely share this with the whole world. My cousin posts things like that at least three times a day with the words "right on". I don't know how she hasn't run out yet.

Enjayee - Hahaha I know! I had a friend who said her sons in potty training and that he missed..and posted the pic as proof..was minging! Swiftly defriended for that. Also hate when people post saying "dreading changing this nappy..so stinky n he's got an upset stomach"..some things shouldn't be shared!! ?

I actually lol'd at the "right on" comment, haha!

I loooooove getting involved with my nieces and nephews and would be damned miffed if I wasn't! I was a blubbing wreck at their nativity plays last year - ludicrous (I'm one proud aunty!). All children are beautiful and it takes something pretty drastic, such as being informed that you well never have children of your own, to really truly understand that. Apologies for being intense but it's true.

I didn't read this properly the first time and I honestly thought you were saying your own child is ugly.
