Think this has been done before, but if you had a pub what would you name it?

As title.. We can't go for anything too daft as much as we would like to, but something interesting/funky would be great

I'd like a pub called The Old Trout.

Oddly named ones I know of include The Bloated Mallard (aka The Fat Duck) and The Honest Cabbage. I really don't get that last one.

Honest Cabbage is maybe short for "good old honest cabbage" ?

Once when drunk I misread the sign outside a pub and from then on then we always called the pub "the Fat Bastard", which was a good name I think. ?

Otherwise I like animal ones, the Horse&Hound, Cat in a Hat...or a music name, the Troubadour perhaps?

    James Magennis VC.

Isn't going to work for everyone.

I used to run a pub called "The Witch Way Inn" and when my boss got into a bit of money trouble he rented out the private bar as a gay bar, it used to make me chuckle when the draymen used to come in and ask for "the which way inn gay bar" (totally childish I know?)

My dad almost bought a pub last year called the Black ***, it did make me and my sister chuckle. Another one that makes our family chuckle is The Horse and Jockey although i aren't sure why.

Thinking randomly tonight, but think I'd call my imaginary pub 'The Bees' Knees'

I have a recurring dream where I visit a pub called 'The Beehive' - it does lock-ins and has a karaoke quiz on a Sunday. It's an amazing gaff!

OH is marginally obsessed with owning a pub called 'The Amputee's Arms' - next to his 'Abrakebabra' fast food outlet ?

I would have a smoky wine bar covered in velvet, selling cognac and absinthe, playing 30s jazz. It would be called "Miss Otis Regrets".

I'd have a rugby league one somewhere on the M62 corridor called The Scrum or The High Tackle

Or something paganny-wiccany called "the Maiden, Mother and Crone"
