I was wondering for those brides keepin their dress on all day and evening how do you wee it in the evening as in so it is not as long and you are not tripping over your train? Is this what a hook is for

I have yet to trial this but have been told by many OMs and friends that you straddle the toilet backwards, so that your train goes out the door! (facing the other way)

At my cousins wedding her MOH had to go to the toilet with her every time to hold her dress and train up :-)

Yup, sit the wrong way round on the toilet seat! is actually very easy. I also used the disabled toilet in the venue for the space. when my sister got married i was in the cubicle with her holding her dress up.

the hook is more to make dancing easier.

One of my best friends got married recently and she had all her best friends take turn in accompanying her to the toilet to help her.

The sit on the toilet backwards one I find greatly amusing ? but I must admit that it is the most practical idea I've heard .

I had a massive dress with a v long train and it was ok - was ok in the evening once it had been tied up too. Used the disabled toilet for extra space and made my sister stand outside the door and didn't lock it in case I got stuck!! Just gathered it all up to one side and it worked ok. Stepped a long way from the toilet before dropping it - just in case!!!

Hahahaha, I dont think she is asking how to wee in her dress, I think she is asking how to 'wear' her dress in the evening, so as not to step on the train.

Yes this is what the hook is for, but you will need to check with the shop to see how it works, as they arent all the same.

Haha! A genuine question none-the-less though - lots of brides have problems weeing in their dress!

But yes, if you're asking about how to wear it in the evening, as llindsey said - you can bustle your dress to take it easier or use a loop that you put over your wrist. Most brides prefer a bustle to a loop as it's less hassle on the night.
