This Weekend.... Plans?

Making flags! And treasure maps. ?

Team Groom are doing a half-marathon Sunday morning! Best Man is down to stay, they're going (with my boy and the usher) to look for suits Saturday, and they've the run the following day.

I'll be making bunting, prepping the sticky bits for the invites, creating a webpage for the hen do (it's a bring-a-friend kind of a do) and visiting his mum to grab a guillotine and some glue. And doing some work for work because I've missed out on a load this week.

On Saturday night, the groom, the best man and me are off to Hastings to see Micky Flanagan

Bridesmaids have a fitting, but I'm not going to that one (as working). Sunday is a joint hen/stag with OHs friends & partners at an Indian. Cant wait!

We'll make a few favours, shop for toiletres for my hen weekend away and thats it!

Nothing weddingy this weekend for me sadly!OH's off to an away game on Sat so taking the girls to my mum's to make DD2's birthday cake. Sunday will be having a party and eating said cake!

Going to visit OH's nana who is making all our invitations, orders of service etc.

maybe going to church as we have to go at least once a month before the wedding. We go weekly where we live but are marrying where mum lives so 200 mile round trip! Going next weekend too cos I love it there!

We are meeting some photographers this weekend and attending a wedding fayre at the venue. I am really looking forward to it!

We're seeing our caterers on Saturday for our tasting. Then on Saturday night we've got the best man, ushers, bridesmaids and partners coming round for a big wine tasting session to (hopefully) choose our wine and fizz for the day. I am anticipating a MASSIVE hangover!

My weekend starts tomorrow, as i'm "working" on Sunday.

We're meeting a super lovely photographer tomorrow

We have our venue open day on Saturday

& On Sunday we're meeting 2 amazing couples.

This weekend is a nice one.

As of next week things get mental again, so I shall be savouring this one!

For the first weekend of 2013, we actually don't have anything wedding-y planned ☹️ Think OH will be happy not to have to traipse around several venues, but I loved having a nosey around the different places we saw, quite sad in a way to have booked it now,although I do love our venue ?

Seeing my best friend (and bridesmaid), who is getting married the same year as us, tomorrow night for drinks and wedding gossip, which will be nice, think i'm driving everyone else mad!

*might* go to my parents church (where we're getting married) , rather than our own church on sunday as we haven't actually seen the vicar in person about our date - mum just told him to get it pencilled in ?

Might have a last play around with my invites before getting them printed and start writing out the envelopes.

I also need to find and buy an ink pad.

Dress trying and a hot date with my TOG!!! ?

We're off into town to get new shoes for the OH to go with his wedding suit. I'm hoping to find some nice new earrings too - can't be left out!

Then I'll be finishing my Order of Service, stamping my seating reservation cards for the ceremony, and adding the finishing touches to my table names.

This is the first weekend in ages we haven't had appointments so will be making the most of the quiet time.

Shopping for wedding rings on Saturday. Sunday daughter is coming up from Brighton to try on her bridesmaid dress I got from House of Fraser. She's not a girly girl and I hope she likes it. I'm very excited! Oh and will be getting the invites out this weekend. 7 weeks to go on Saturday!

We're spring cleaning and looking at suits and flowers (just OH & I) on Saturday. Church bright and early Sunday morning followed by breakfast at OH's Mum's. Sunday afternoon we'll be eating lots of cake with my Granddad for his birthday and in the evening we're off to a birthday gathering for OH's Dad in his village pub.

I need some free weekends to get the crafty bits started!!

To put in with the invitations- it's for directions for guests, etc. and location of reg office / reception.

I got a map from Google Maps, traced the main details, traced in some old-skool nautical embellishments (mermaids, pirate ships, etc.) and handwrote the details in an oldy worldy font- this weekend I'm going to colour it in, colour copy it onto plain paper and then tea stain them / singe the edges to make them look all old and parchmenty. (I learnt to do this at school...I'm such a child!)

Newbie to Hitched!

This weekend we have a few weddingy things planned, we are going to the travel agents to get some ideas for honeymoon.

I am going to continue cutting out bunting triangles, 80 metres worth are cut, only another 420 to go!

I am going to a wedding fair on Sunday with my Mum, Sister & MIL, I am 95% sure I have found my dress, but want one last check that there isn't anything else that really grabs my attention!
