those of you having a church ceremony...what hymns are you having???

We havent chosen hymns with the vicar yet, but we are tinking of having Lord of the Dance and All things Bright and Beautiful although I want He's got the whole world in his hands!

Well.... OH is clueless so leaving it up to me. Want tradtional old school hymns so.... ive got one but need another... was looking at them on the web today with my bridesmaid, listening to mp3 versions to get the tune, lol. Praise my soul the king of heaven.... or summin like that, is one. Didnt know whether to have Onward christian soldiers or We plough the fields and scatter.... need more research!

We had 'amazing grace', 'be thou my vision' and 'love divine'.

We haven't chosen yet but I really want Jerusalem.

We are having one that we sang at school so most people will know it! it's 'As the deer pants for the water'...

I like the idea of All Things Bright and Beautiful or Colours of Day for the opening hymn, then One More Step Along the World I Go after the marriage ceremony.

TBH although we wnated ones people knew we also knew from experience that people sing quite quietly adn self-consciously at weddings (the ones we've been to, anyway), so we mainly relied on my family to provide volume as they're good at that!
