Those with sample dresses

I bought mine in January and the wedding is in November. It's been hanging in my house for months and is still in perfect condition. It's in a breathable bag. I know some people who have ordered a brand new one and it has arrived at the shop 9 months before. I can't see how it would make any difference whether it was in a bag at home or in a shop.

Mine was hung up for about 9 months. Didn't do it any harm at all. If you're worried that it'll lose shape you could get a wedding dress box and store it in one of those?

I had a sample dress. I can't remember how long before the wedding I bought it but the shop cleaned & pressed it for me before the wedding. It's been hanging in my wardrobe at different homes for the last 24 years and it's still fine!

I've had mine 16 months and don't get married until next April. It's in a breathable bag and has been fine. The sales assistant did say I should get a box if I was worried but that it should be fine.

I bought mine in January and although the shop gave me a bag with breathable panels, they advised me to store it in a duvet cover in the long term.

I brought mine home back in February and don't get married until October. It's in a dress box under the cot at my dads house. Got my first fitting on 9th but I've checked it since getting it and it's fine x

I've got a sample but it's staying in the shop until a couple of weeks before for final fitting and will have a steam etc. the shop i went to keeps the dresses in their bags apart from when trying on so they were all pristine. I got it a couple of months ago so it'll be almost a year it's been sitting there.
