I was just wondering when this is normally done? I'dlike to get a few photos of it and the photographer wont still be there at the end of the night? Also who announces that it is going to happen- an usher?

Hey
I don't think it really matters when you do it, I think I would like to get some good pics of it. Depends where you're venue is, what about in the church grounds or, at you're reception just after/before the speachs. Or even better if everyone is having arrival drinks and its a nice day then they might all be outside on a terrace or something?? It might be worth having a word with you're photographer, or the venues co-ordinator especially if they have taken photo's at you're venue before they might know the exact spot where it will work????
Hope this helps. Good luck with the rest of you're wedding planning

Maybe do it after the meal and speeches but before the evening part of your reception . That way it would act as kind of bridge between day and night if you get what i mean? Like a throw the boquet get the party started type of idea
just a thought . I want to throw a bouquet so il probably use a bridesmaids and do it around that time

I'd go with having a second one - I understand the tradition is to throw it before you "leave" however, I think this was before evening do's came into their own. All the movies I've seen with it in have the newly married couple driving straight off to their honeymoon <in daylight> and the bride throws the bouquet just before getting into the car

You do it at what ever time suits you lovely; I'm going to save mine and give it to my Nan as she is unable to be there on the day, she's got alzheimers so won't be able to manage it.

Hiya
Im giving the floral center pieces out to single ladies attending and Im giving my bouquet to the lady attending who has been married the longest, as we are going away and the flowers are fresh, its means someone else can enjoy them (her hubby will get my garter - not my real garter as that is too gorgeous to give away)
Another idea i heard was to tie ribbons to the bouquet and each single lady selects a ribbon, but only one is actually attached to the bouquet. This saves ruining the flowers and is a little more ladylike rather than a scrum!! I thought this was a lovely idea.

I won't be throwing my bouquet, I will be putting my bouquet on the grave of the boy who was meant to be my pageboy, they will mean more to me to be there. But I appreciate lots of people do throw their bouquet, its a bit of fun

I threw my bouquet after the cake cut because there was already a captive audience (and they were all stood up, so no excuse for the single ladies to slope off). Our best man made the announcement and I used a bridesmaid bouquet.

I'm not going to bother throwing mine, I'd only have 4 potential girlies to throw it to, which I'm not sure is enough, unless I wait until the evening I guess? I think I'll probably just give my bouquet to my Grandma!
