I'd really like to but I don't want to wreck it! It may be more of a 'gentle passing the bouquet behind my head' than throwing it! Not sure if we can afford to get a second one to throw!

I might chuck one of the bridesmaid's bouquets instead ? I'm planning on getting quite a big trailing bouquet that I can place across the top table when we eat, and having small round ones for the BMs, probably with artificial flowers too, so I might use one of those. I hadn't really thought about it before though!

I thought I threw mine, but upon close inspection it apears I threw my bridesmaids flowers, few too many wines by that stage ?. Have a word with your florest as they maybe able to make you a mock one to throw x

Mine was made of brooches and weighed a good kilo. I'd have broken someone.

After the effort I will have gone to designing my bouquet it will not be thrown anywhere. Plus it will have my mum's, gran's and great-gran's wedding rings attached so no way. I might throw my bridesman's single stem sunflower if anyone decides to announce a random throwing, but otherwise won't bother.

Lol this made me chuckle to myself.

I have thought of it but i don't think i will be bothering. If i do my bouquet is a long tear drop one so i may just buy a few artificial roses the same colour as my bouquet and tie and ivory ribbon around them and throw them. That said it all seems like far too much to remember just for the sake of throwing the bouquet lol.

I like the idea of doing a throw - sounds fun and I know my firends would like it. However, I haven't started picking flowers yet - and I may get attached to them. Would be great to have an extra one to throw but I suspect that will be expensive!!!

P.S can anyone tell me how to get one of those picture count down things? I made one on a side but when I copied the code onto my footer, the picture didn't apear - just the code (sorry for asking a question in someone elses post).

I think this is the one thing that I really don't have an opinion on for my own wedding,I just don't know whether I want to or not and if so certainly not at a set pre-planned time. I will see how it goes on the day but I don't have any single girls there, even if they're not married so it might look a bit daft ?. Not to mention the fact that I'm not sure how I feel throwing something delicate that cost 60 odd quid!

Same as MrsB, I'll kill someone if I chuck it. OH seems a bit miffed about it, which surprised me!

I got a bit precious about mine and didn't throw it but we stayed at our hotel venue overnight and had breakfast with lots of our guests and I threw it before we got in the car to leave. I was glad that I did as it was fun for all and it would have died while I was on honeymoon.

My niece caught it and placed it on my parents grave.

After all the time and effort I put into making fabric flowers and crafting the bouquet, there's no way I'd throw it!! Especially since I'm worried about my craftsmanship holding up.. I mean, I know it will survive sitting in a vase until the wedding, and being carried down the aisle, but being tossed over my head... I don't know.

Also, it's a bit heavy, and has a bunch of wires in it.. I wouldn't want to hurt anyone Smiley smile

I dont have any plans to throw mine, but if someone announces it I will.

Will have to take my grans rings off it first though, or through one of the bridesmaids.

Did you use your brooch bouquet in the end FTLOMB. I seem to remember you considering an alternative just before the wedding.

If so can we have a flash?
